Târgoviște town

The name ”TÂRGOVIȘTE” is a slavic name which means ”MARKETPLACE” and it can be meet also in Slovakian Trhovište, Bulgarian Търговище and Serbian Trhovište.

• Is the County seat of the Dâmbovița County, at a distance of 80 km far from the Capital and the main airport, Henri Coanda.

• Was the capital of Wallachia between early 15th century and 16th century before moving to Bucharest. The most important figure was the bloody prince Vlad Țepeș, known as Vlad the Impaler, the character of the Bram Stocker novel ”Dracula”.

• Was the site of the trial and execution of Nicolae Ceaușescu (ex-leader of Romania) and his wife in December 1989.

• Has around 80.000 inhabitants and a University with 10.000 students.

Guerilla Literacy improves learners language skills through helping them understand how they create Guerilla connections.

As such it differs from error analysis which collects mistakes and categorizes these. Guerilla literacy learners look for unorthodox connections learners make (which cause them to create mistakes) and categorize these. They don’t use grammar speak so that the labels make sense in a Guerilla worlds. Guerilla Learners create unorthodox connections. They retrace these connections and label them in everyday language.

Bridge the Gap 2012-2014

A partnership made up of subjects interested in vocational education and training such as trainers or VET-professionals, SME, adult education providers, schools and Institutions, but we intend to involve also social partners or other VET stakeholders in order to:

• Develop guidance and support for VET;

• Open VET to flexible pathways, which include ICT knowledge & innovative teaching and training methods for the 21st century and create better conditions for transition to working life;

• Reinforce or create closer links between VET and working life;

• Promote the recognition of non-formal and informal learning.

The aims of this partnership are:• for teachers: to learn to teach to adults a second language using webtools, ICT, LCMS and

working on transnational cooperation; • for students: to learn a language together with tradition and culture using new

technologies in co-operative transnational and multicultural perspective• for both teachers and students: reduce digital divide and develop transnational-

transgenerational co-operation; reduce distances among countries.
