“ The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren are not money or other
material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.”
——- Billy Graham
Nation-building refers to the process of engaging all citizens in the
development of the nation. Among all, youths play an important role
in the progress and development of our nation as they constitute a
majority portion of the total population of the country. The future, as
well as the present of our country, is in the hands of its youths. The
efforts of youth can help in rapid growth and development of our
nation.
Youth is the time when innovative and creative thoughts and ideas
pop up in mind and which shape up the community and the nation
we live in. The policies, plans and development works of the nation
can best be implemented by youth. They are more enthusiastic and
energetic and if their potential is used in the right direction they can
ensure rapid progress. Hence, we organized a Science exhibition-
”Aavishkara” to lit up the young minds to think , create and educate
the society. The participation of PU students of two districts –
Vijayapura and Bagalkot was overwhelming. The scientific projects
prepared by them showcased their scientific temperament and think-
ing abilities.
Our students also participated in Bharatiya Sanskriti Utsav held in
Kaggod. The projects done by engineering students were displayed
to public and were well appreciated. To ensure participation of the
youths in national development, they need to be encouraged and sup-
ported by their parents, civil society and government. Our institution
is working in a direction wherein the most backward people also can
feel the essence of science and technology to uplift the society. We
believe that a nation develops at a steady pace when the youth of the
country is educated and their education is put to right use. Education
must inculcate the right values among children and youth so that
they can contribute to the development of the society. The importance of character building, the values of
honesty and integrity must be taught to young so that the national growth takes place in right direction.
We must stop the culture of “mugging and scoring” and develop the culture of “think and create” among
the youth. Guiding the young minds in the right direction is the utmost duty of the older generation.
