Several%MD%DC%CRS%Chapter%members%aXended%the%CRS%Annual%Business%Mee4ngs%that%were%held%in%conjunc4on%with%the%NAR%Conference%&%Expo%in%San%Francisco,%CA.%Task%force%and%leadership%mee4ngs%plus%educa4onal%sessions%were%held%at%the%Palace%Hotel%in%San%Francisco%from%November%6P9,%2013.%

Lana%Vukovljak%is%the%new%CEO%for%the%Council%of%Residen4al%Specialists.%There%has%been%a%staff%reorganiza4on%that%aligns%the%Council%for%growth.%There%are%4%departments%now:%Membership%&%Volunteer%Services,%Professional%Development,%Mee4ngs%&%Communica4ons%and%IT%&%Finance.%CRS%is%offering%lots%of%educa4on.%There%were%3%Legends%programs,%100%twoPday%courses,%3%new%ePlearning%courses,%and%36%webinars.%Two%day%courses%were%beXer%aXended%than%1%day%courses,%webinars%are%up,%and%videos%of%legends%are%up.%%Sellabra4on%aXendance%was%up%in%2013.%

CRS%Awareness%Week%is%September%8P12,%2014.

In%memberships,%there%was%an%increase%in%new%members%and%new%designees%in%2013.%Interna4onal%membership%is%up%and%includes%17%countries.%A%strategic%plan%is%scheduled%to%be%completed%by%the%end%of%2014.%Strategic%Ini4a4ves%include%a%public%awareness%campaign,%new%licensee%package%and%broker%tools.%Talking%points%will%be%provided%as%well%as%fact%sheets,%brochures,%and%training%material.%5%candidates%have%been%nominated%to%interview%for%the%posi4on%of%1st%Vice%President%in%May.%%Our%outgoing%RVP,%Shirley%Matlock,%was%nominated%to%interview.%%Criteria%for%the%Medallion%Award%has%been%modified.%%Educa4on%requirements%for%MRE%graduates%from%Realtor%University%have%been%waived.%Emeritus%qualifica4ons%have%been%changed.%%
