Knowledge to Plan Smarter and Engage Faster
InSite Pro supports:
• Fatal Flaw Analysis
• Selection of a Defendable
Project Route
• Streamlined Reporting
and Process Management
• Efficient Upfront Project
Execution to Meet
Schedule and Budget
Routing, permitting and constructing linear projects is challenging due to regulatory requirements and stakeholder scrutiny. Starting a project off on the right foot and managing ongoing operational risks is critical to success.
InSite Pro™ is a powerful GIS-enabled tool that analyzes engineering, environmental, land, constructability and socio-economic factors to generate least cost, minimal impact project routes, and evaluate existing routes already in operation.
Routing and SitingInSite Pro can create multiple project routes quickly and efficiently, to help you understand different project scenarios in even the most complex circumstances. Routes are overlaid with critical risk factors and opportunities around the project corridor within InSite Pro’s proprietary database.
Impact AnalysisInSite Pro provides impact analysis for any boundaries around a route, including workspace layout, environmental study area or a specified buffer. It reports features including slope, landownership, structures, wetlands, waterbodies, roads, railroads and more.
Risk Management Daily operations across projects can be very complex. InSite Pro helps operations and maintenance teams analyze and monitor conditions and activity near and along linear infrastructure and provides relevant and sophisticated mapping, and reporting intelligence to quickly identify areas of concern for investigation and action.
The Power of InSite Pro’s Database
Routes generated via InSite Pro have instant access to a supporting, proprietary database with thousands of GIS details that are critical to routing and reporting. The database shows a broad range of risks and opportunities within the project study area based on the GIS data required to generate the route.
TRC manages and maintains the InSite Pro spatial database on a daily basis for the contiguous 48 United States allowing clients real time access to the most recent and accurate information on a route or project.

InSite Pro Reporting Features
Project MetadataAll of the data utilized to generate a route, including data source, vintage, and any other additional information required for categorizing the project data.
Data WeightingAll of the data utilized for the project with its respected weight for preferred routing, low avoidance routing, avoidance routing, and exclusion routing.
Crossing and Impact Analysis Online and offline features within a defined corridor around the route(s). Features are identified with mile post locations, crossing lengths, online/offline notations, distances from the route and acreage impacts just to name a few. Quantitative breakdown reports are provided as well as are Alignment and Side Hill Slope analysis and Ground Profiles.
Project MeetingsRoute review meetings to discuss data utilization, routing, and results.
Routes and AlternativesGoogle KMZ and ESRI shapefile format of routes with mile posting.
Routing Data InSite Pro GIS data specific to the project study area delivered in ESRI geodatabase format. GIS data that is specifically licensed to TRC will not be provided in spatial format due to data licensing constraints, but will be provided in all reporting.
InSite Pro integrates with TRC’s Integra LinkTM data management solution, which easily connects project stakeholders to the data and systems that provide the insight they need to develop, operate and maintain critical infrastructure accurately and efficiently.
