• Reconstruction of M-343 & 28th Street Intersection• Cost $1.25 Million

I-94: Lovers Lane to Sprinkle RdReconstruction & Widening

Project Overview

• Cost: $77 Million

• Construction April 2021-October 2022

• I-94 widening 4 to 6 lanes

• Replacement of 5 structures

• Box Culvert replacement at Davis Creek

• Noise wall replacement

• Removal of Kilgore Road Bridge

• New interchange design at Portage Road

Project Overview• Advises motorists of safe travel speeds due to changing

weather and road conditions• Anticipated launch winter 2021-2022

• Highest snowfall totals in Region• Highest percentage of commercial vehicles in Region• Crash rate 24 percent higher in winter than other 70 mph

routes• Speed differentials ranging from 20 to 45 mph before impact• 65 percent of crashes occurred when driving too fast for road

conditions

• weather, congestion, incident, construction, etc.
