• Highest snowfall totals in Region• Highest percentage of commercial vehicles in Region• Crash rate 24 percent higher in winter than other 70 mph

routes• Speed differentials ranging from 20 to 45 mph before impact• 65 percent of crashes occurred when driving too fast for road

conditions
