He found music as something to do in his fun time.

Thought that it is very interesting and he is good at it, and he was.

As his talent he was writing his hallmark melody lines in a perfect match to Italian lyrics.

He was one of the first composers of the romantic movement in Italy.

Donizetti made his first success with Enrico di Borgogna, that first showed up in 1818 at the Teatro San Luca.

- His most famous composition is Lucia di Lammermoor, composed in 1835.

His works include more than 75 operas, 16 symphonies, 19 string quartets, 193 songs, 45 duets, 3 oratorios, 28 sharps, and numerous instrumental concertos, sonatas and other chamber music . However, it is known for the masterpiece of the opera, which is composed in opera style.

His family None of the three children survived the childhood unfortunately. His wife

died of a cholera epidemic in 1837, that made Donizetti to become seriously

distressed, then he had a bad sickness he first paralyzed then after that he got

worse and was invited to another city by his friend.

Donizetti was already in the grip of his fatal disease. He produced his last important opera, Dom Sébastien, with a libretto by Scribe, at the Paris Opéra in 1843 under the strain of constant headaches and occasional lapses of mental capacity.

In the 1950s there was a revival of interest in his works

by 1914 his operas had almost disappeared from the repertory,

People liked his music but the music critics did not
