The professionalism of qualified and motivated operators together with up-to-date equipments and repeated monitoring of the manufacturing process, enable SO.CA.P. to produce quality items according to agreed or existing standards
The product is tested and labelled prior of shipment to the Client.
SO.CA.P. was founded in 1956 with the aim of
manufacturing and selling Pneumatic Tubular
Forms both on the Italian and on the foreign
markets.
The know-how gained in the first years during
which a reliable and practical product has been
developed thanks to the most advanced materials
and technologies, has led, in the seventies to the
creation of a wide range of Pneumatic Pipe
Stoppers and Foldable and Collapsible tanks.
Thanks to the favourable quality/price balance of
its products, SO.CA.P. was able to increase
constantly its presence both on domestic and
foreign markets.
With a workforce of 15 people, its export volume
is of about 70% on the total turnover.
SO.CA.P. can meet supply orders within a short
time thanks to its flexible organization also in case
of non-standard Client specifications in terms of
sizes.
SO.CA.P. deals either directly with Clients or
through its sale network.
Packing is made according to shipment modes and following a well established method consolidated in decades of worldwide supplies.

Our mission is that of meeting Client expectations and guarantee the reliability of our products.
The testing equipment is periodically verified to guarantee the reliability of the checks on the final product parameters. The primary instruments for test and measurements are checked by laboratories authorized by the SIT.
Tensile strength test on materials and
seams
products are made only with materials supplied by qualified and certified producers. Raw material and components are sistematically tested to guarantee their constant characteristics.
This is made possible by suitable test methods which allow a continuous and up-dated manufacturing process.
The products are released with a certification of conformity and, if required, are tested before shipment by Client nominated inspectors.

Type F Its typical use is that of temporarily plugging low pressure gas lines.

Type G Its typical use is that of temporarily plugging metal pipes (pipelines, gas mains etc.) to be serviced in the presence of flammable gas and liquids at medium pressure.

Type H

Suitable for the temporary plugging of egg-shaped pipes, like sewer lines, aqueducts, drainage lines etc. to completely isolate one section of the pipe containing the liquid from the section where repair or maintenance will take place. This type of pneumatic stopper can also be used to carry out pressure test on the pipe.

The pneumatic stopper type G is used to plug temporarily circular pipes like pipelines and gas lines at relatively low pressures; for this purpose this stopper is fitted with 2 sealing rings which enhance the resistance to the residual pressure in the line.
This pneumatic stopper is made with synthetic fabric coated on both faces with oil resistant plastomers; the elasticity of its diameter is such to allow a perfect sealing in the pipe.
After use the stopper is folded and stored in small spaces.
After its correct positioning into the pipeline thanks to the two handles, the stopper can be inflated with air or nitrogen through the flexible hose fitted with a valve and a safety vent valve.

The Pneumatic Stopper type F is used for the temporary plugging of circular section pipes containing low pressure gas. After having correctly placed it into the pipeline by means of the handles fitted on it inflate it with air or nitrogen through a flexible hose with a valve. After use the stopper can be reused and stored in small spaces.
The pneumatic stopper type F is made with gas resistant plastomers whose elasticity allows diameter expansion up to 30% of the nominal size.

The pneumatic stopper type H is suitable to plug temporarily circular section pipes like oil and gas lines at relatively high pressures.
This pneumatic stopper is made with synthetic fabric coated on both faces with oil resistant plastomers and is fitted with 4 sealing rings to enhance its resistance to the residual pressure present in the pipe.
It can be inflated with air or nitrogen through a flexible hose with a valve and a vent safety valve. The elasticity of its diameter is such to allow a perfect sealing in the pipe.
This stopper is fitted with handles for its correct positioning into the pipe.

The pneumatic stopper type FOG/NC is suitable to plug temporarily circular section pipes like sewer lines; drainages etc. in order to separate totally the section of the pipe containing the liquid from the section where it is necessary to make a repair or maintenance work.
This pneumatic stopper (together with the type FOG/SC ) can be used to carry out pressure tests on pipes where the test fluid cannot be placed into the pipe through some opening (manhole).

The pneumatic stopper type FOG/SC, can be inflated with air or nitrogen and is made with synthetic fabric coated on both faces with plastomers resistant to water based and non corrosive liquids. This type of stopper is fitted with two internal by pass, one for placing the test fluid into the pipe and the other for venting the air of the pipe. The pneumatic stopper is fitted with handles for its correct positioning into the pipe; for inflating it is fitted with a flexible hose and valve and a safety vent valve.
Usage The pneumatic stopper type FOG/SC is suitable (together with type FOG/NC) to carry out pressure tests when it is not possible to place the fluid in the pipe through other openings. The S type foldable tank has been designed to be used as a load for testing floors and other weight-bearing structures.
These tanks are composed of a robust casing built in extra-strong polyester fabric coated with plastomer in a pillow shape. When used they are filled with water through a filling opening. The water height, which is adjustable, determines the load per square meter.
Once the tests are completed they are emptied via a drain and rolled up for storage.

TANK FOR FLOOR TESTING TYPE S Description
The S type foldable tank, with rectangular shape, is built in extra-strong polyester fabric coated in plastomer. The tank is equipped with a valve for filling/draining water and an air vent. It is possible to fold the tank on one or more sides to obtain a smaller dimension.

The water height in the tank (which determines the load per square metre) can range from a maximum load of 750 kg/sq. m. To obtain loads up to a maximum of 1200 kg/ sq. m.: two tanks can be overlapped.

PNEUMATIC TUBULAR FORMS TYPE 200 Description
The pneumatic Tubular Forms type 200, can be inflated with air at their maximum pressure <PS> and are made with very strong synthetic fabric coated on both faces with plastomers resistant to chemical substances, atmospheric agents, concrete and abrasion.
Usage Pneumatic tubular forms can be used for the in-situ cast concrete pipes or for making precast elements. Pneumatic forms represents the formwork around which concrete is cast with the required composition and with the max thickness <SC> shown in the table. After concrete has sufficiently dried up, the pneumatic form can be deflated and removed from the cast being ready for the subsequent use.

The pneumatic mini moulds have been designed to create single or multiple lightening holes in precast structures. They can be recovered from the cast and reused for many other times.
The body of the mould is made with suitably dimensioned hoses made directly on mandrel special textile and rubber inserts of particular composition resistant to concrete and generally to the extreme conditions of work in building sites.

The use is very simple being sufficient to fix the mould in the required position and inflate it.
The pneumatic mini moulds are suitable for casting of: lightening holes in bridges, flyovers and precast beams

The moulds can be easily inflated by means of an air compressor and do not require a specific maintenance thanks to the high thickness of the material forming they body.
The inflating valve can be replaced in case of damage.

Our large water load bags can be used to great advantage for static load tests, especially when a precise load has to be gradually applied. They represent a valid alternative to traditional systems in which cement blocks or other weights are used for tests. Their very sturdy structure allows them to be reused many dozens of times. They do not require any specific maintenance and are supplied with a repair kit (adhesive mastic and patches) to be used should the bags be accidentally punctured.

LARGE WATER BAG FOR STATIC LOAD TESTS Description
The bags are manufactured using very strong synthetic fabric, waterproofed with plastomers as per ISO standard 2231-89. The seams are heat-welded as per UNI standard 8543 and 8544. These large water bags come complete with a support harness suitably sized according to the load they are required to bear. They are available for loads up to 15.000 Kg and can even be suspended in clusters to the structure that is to undergo testing.
Intended use They are used to carry out compliance testing according to current regulations for all structures requiring compliance testing, such as load bearing ones, overhead travelling cranes, cranes and mobile cranes.

The use of air-supported parachute bags for underwater loads lifting proved to be the most practical and simple way of carrying out submarine works.
manufactures and sells parachute bags ranging from a lifting capacity of 500 kgs. Up to 5000 kgs. The use of this type of lifting bags provides many advantages among which are: - Easy transportability to the underwater job
site and hooking to the load to be lifted. - Rapid inflating and deflating procedure. - Absence of any complicated internal
pressure relief system operating during underwater climbing.
- Possibility of multiple parachute usage to obtain a lifting capacity exceeding that of a single unit.
They are made of a flexible envelope of high-tenacity synthetic fabric coated with high resistance plastomers. This envelope is embraced by a purposely designed harness linked to a metal shackle with suitably sized belts.
Parachute inflation is made by scuba divers who simply introduce an air supply hose into the parachute lower opening and regulate the quantity of air blown into the bag to obtain the required lift force.
The maximum depth at which the parachute is usable depends on the possibility of having an air supply whose pressure is proportional to the depth of the load to be lifted.
All the materials used to manufacture SOCAP parachute bags are very resistant to underwater stresses and are designed to work with high safety factors.

PARACHUTE LIFTING BAGS Description
They are made of very strong synthetic fabric coated on both faces with plastomers according to ISO 2231-89 Standard and assembled with hot-air seams according to UNI 8543 and 8544 Standards; these bags are complete of a suitably sized harnessing. They are available with capacities of up to 5000 kgs. lift force and can be used contemporarily in two or three units to augment the total lift capacity.
Usage Their typical use is that of uplifting underwater loads without using barges, recovery ships etc.
