Orientation regarding the activities of

NSS unit was given to the student

members by the NSS Officers, Asst

Officers and Ex NSS Officers.

2. 24.08.2019 02 hours 250 Shramdaan

Volunteers cleaned the area in and around

Kukkarahalli lake, Mysore.

3. 03.09.2019 01 hour 100 Talk on Volunteerism by Dr.S.K.Leo

Akash Raj, founder and President of

Pretty little hearts, Chennai.

4. 21.09.2019 02 hours 200 Walkathon to mark the Alzeihmer’s

Day.The volunteers were divided into 5

groups and and each group had to make

pluckcards for Alzeihmer’s day

awareness.The walk was initiated from

Bannimantap and concluded at the DC

office, Mysore, spanning a distance of 4.5

km.

5. 24.09.2019 05 hours 80 Blood Donation

NSS unit conducted blood donation

camp in collaboration with KR Hospital,

Mysore. A total of 80 volunteers/staff

donated blood in the camp.

6. 1.10.2019 02 hour 150 Shramadan on occasion of Swachta Hi

Seva (Nationwide clean-up)

Volunteers cleaned the AIISH campus by

picking up plastic and other garbage lying

in and around the campus.

7. 17.01.2020 1 week NA Flood Relief

NSS coordinated the collection of

donations for Kerala and Kodagu flood

relief. A sum of Rs. 65,000/- was

collected from students, staff and other

well-wishers. The same was transferred to

the CM relief fund natural calamity.

96 NSS Special Camp at Hosapete,

Karnataka. The main focus of the camp

was on the identification, assessment and

rehabilitation of individuals with

communication disorders. Survey was

conducted in various wards of Hosapete

to identify individuals with

communication disorders. The camp team

surveyed a population of 21593 and 1127

individuals benefitted from the camp

which had services of ENT, Audiology,

Speech-Language Pathology and

Psychology, all free of cost. A total of

378 digital behind the ear hearing aids

were dispensed free of cost to the needy.

Additionally, 190 individuals received

medication for ENT problems free of

cost.
