Hopping Buddies Travel & Tours: Making Coron tours Friendly on the Budget

The beauty of Palawan is famous all over the world. Despite the growing number of

tourists that visit the province, the government was able to preserve the beauty of the

most popular tourist destinations. One of the most frequented places in the province is

Coron. Travelers from different parts of the globe visit Coron for its beautiful

landscapes, white sandy beaches, and rare animal species. Coron tours are great

opportunities to explore the islands near the town and discover a thriving marine life.

The Journey to Coron

Major airlines, such as Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, and Philippine Airlines offer flights from Manila to Busuanga. Getting to Coron will be another 35 minutes land trip from the Busuanga airport. Within the town proper are several tricycles or private vehicles that can take travelers to their hotel.

Although visitors can go to Coron and explore the islands on their own, it is also a good idea to check the tour options for Coron offered by travel agents. Hopping Buddies Travel & Tours has been in the business of arranging tour options for Coron that are friendly on the budget. Their Coron tours include a 2-3 nights’ accommodation with daily breakfast, airport and van transfers, entrance fees, shed rentals, use of kayak and the island hopping tour with free lunch. A licensed tour guide is also available free.

The Islands of Coron

The highlight of most Coron tours is the island hopping activity that takes visitors to various lakes and lagoons teeming with different species of fish and other marine life. The view is breathtaking, as the travel guide takes the travelers on a trip to 3-4 islands. More than 20 islets, many of which have remained untouched to this day, surround coron.

The Hopping Buddies Travel & Tours Coron tour package often includes a visit to Kayangan Lake, known as the indigenous tribal site of the Tagbanuas. This idyllic place is a haven for snorkelers and even for those who are fond of rock-climbing. There are various schools of fish, corals and other marine life that are visible right through cool, turquoise waters of Kayangan Lake.

Barracuda Lake got its name from the giant barracuda that locals believe is guarding the lake. Another must-see in Coron is the Twin Lagoons, sometimes known as the Big and Small Lagoons. The waters in these lagoons differ in temperature. Visitors are often taken by surprise by the sudden change in temperature when they swim from one lagoon to the next. A day spent snorkeling in any of these islands can really make one’s Coron holiday complete.

The best time to visit Coron is during the summer. As it is one of the busiest seasons of the year, Palawan travel agencies advise visitors to book their reservations at least three months before their scheduled trip. Some may prefer to visit Coron during the months after June, but they may have to deal with constant rain. The right travel agent will offer Coron tours that are light on the budget, enjoyable and unforgettable.
