ABOUT WHATAPP APPLICATION

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages, it is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia and those phones can all message each other.

ADVANTAGES OF WHATSAPP APPLICATION

WhatsApp Messenger works on various platforms and number of devices, no matter iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Nokia S60.

WhatsApp is an alternative to SMS and MMS, that works via the Internet, thus avoiding any charges that normal messages incur.

Each time you install WhatsApp, the application will record the configuration information of your own device (SIM number and your smartphone ‘s PIN), register them with server system.

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING PROCESS

1. Download whatsApp from: http://www.whatsapp.com/

2. You have to agree to the terms and conditions of the application by choosing “accept”.

3. It will ask for your phone number and your country code.

4. your phone will send an SMS to itself to verify the number.

Write your name

5. Insert your name, which will be used for notification when massaging iPhone users.

6. After initializing gets completed you can enjoy messaging by WhatsApp

WhatsApp compares all the phone numbers saved in your Contacts to phone numbers already using WhatsApp application.

People who are already using WhatsApp, are automatically listed as favorites.

Names of your WhatsApp list members appear as you save them in your phone.

The full contacts list is just a copy of your Contacts database, provided for convenience.

There is an option to send an invitation SMS to anyone not using WhatsApp.

STATUS

The Status menu allows you to select a pre-set or custom status message that other WhatsApp users will see. This is a handy feature allowing your contacts to see whether you're busy, and how likely a speedy response may be.

CHATS

Messages appear in speech bubbles as with other conversation view applications.

The application utilizes push notifications to instantly get messages from friends, colleagues and family.

WhatsApp messages do not have characters limit.

2. Write the message and send it, Once you send, a red clock or a green tick is displayed beside the message, to indicate whether it is pending, or has been received.

You can also share your current location, which is achieved simply, by just tapping “Share location” option.

GROUP CHAT WhatsApp group chat enables you to add up to 10 Multiple contacts to

a group, who will all receive messages sent by anyone in the group.

1. Select “group Chat” to initiate a group

2. Insert the a subject or a name for the group and identify the participants

3. You can start chatting with the group members

4. You can see the information of the group and add new members by “info” option.
