Drowning is silent and happens very fast. Time to rescue is critical!

A lifeguards mission is to supervise and maintain user safety. This requires a very high level of vigilance maintained constantly through long hours of duty. The environment, a high number of people, noise, heat and humidity makes this a very difficult task.

To supervise your own child while going for a swim can be difficult and to supervise 25-30 youths as a teacher is an even more complicated task!

If someone drowns in the split second that attention is diverted – an alarm WILL go off – staff WILL be alerted! The victim will be submerged for a minimum preset period and rescue WILL happen. The victim will NOT lie submerged unnoticed, as tragedy unfolds.

SENTAG Wristband

The SENTAG Wristband monitors time and pressure for each user. Wristbands are set to a depth and time at which the alarm is raised.

If the user should spend too much time under the pre-set depth an alarm is raised by signal from wristband to the SENTAG control unit. The lifeguard receives an alarm that indicates which pool area that needs attention.

In this way the SENTAG wristband emulates the supervision of a lifeguard who should be naturally concerned if a swimmer stays too long beneath the surface
