4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Research 4
You tube Using YouTube I was able to research certain clips such as my Dallas on my blog but also trailers of other soaps on their to get the generics to produce a good quality trailer.

After making my account on YouTube, I used imovie to upload the trailer to YouTube. From there I can share it, consequently on blogger.

This software allowed me to edit my trailer;•Cut and crop the scenes•Slow down the scenes •Create transition slides to join the scenes together•Change the order I wanted the scenes to be in •Delete or detach audio from the scenes•Add soundtracks over the top of the trailer •Change the length of the scenes •Add title cards

To import I just had to drag onto picture where I wanted to start it
When importing music onto my trailer I had to download the wanted song onto iTunes where it was stored.
Then from their I was able to import it straight from imovie by clicking on the music note on the right hand side.

Construction – imovie To add title cards we had to copy to click on the ‘T’ on the left hand side then select the type of effect you want
Once typed in you can then edit the font, size, colour and background design. Plus you can also change the length of clip

When changing transition you can change the effect of the cut from image to another

Construction – imovie When exporting my final trailer to YouTube I could do it with in imovie
To do this I clicked on ‘share’. Then ‘YouTube’
Then this window appeared where I could name my clip and export straight to YouTube

To import my clips into imovie you click on ‘File’ . ‘import’ , ‘movie’
This window opens where you select wanted clip then ‘import’

This helped to create realism as E4 do a similar edit to them

This allows me to change colour of background and for fonts as well.
A good feature I could use was by save a particular pallet of colour so I could re-use
In could use a magnifying glass to search for a particular product in which I needed. I used this for the E4 purple to link with my institution

Construction – Key noteFrom using all these aspects I created my end scene for my trailer creating both brand identity for ‘The Edge’ and also institution ideology

Communicating Via Twitter
Using twitter allowed me to communicate with both my teacher for feedback on my ancillaries but also between fellow students as well

Photoshop allowed me to:•Cut around the main picture•Change contrast of colour. All of these allowed me to create an effective front cover to grab the readers attention and focus on the main character

Publisher allowed me to start assembling my product together.
As well as assembling I also could do lots of things using this;•Use different fonts•Changing the colours •Crop images •Create shapes •Slant text

From publisher I could save the front cover as a JPEG where from here it could be uploaded onto blogger.

Creating an account and logging into slide share allowed me to upload all my PowerPoint presentations onto my blog

BLOG – Adding videos
To upload my video I go on ‘new post’
From YouTube, underneath the video I clicked on ‘embed’, this shows a code for the video
Then from their I copy and paste the code into ‘Edit HTML’
Then click on ‘publish new post’

Planning - BLOG
I used my blog http://jackobriena2media.blogspot.com/ to present the planning of my soap products. Using slide share I was able to publish all my PowerPoint. Using YouTube enabled me to post all videos plus ,y trailer onto my blog.

I used PowerPoint to present my evaluation. By using this I was able to;•Copy and paste pictures in•Insert picture from file•Use arrows to narrate my work•Change colour and design
