Why do advertisers usethese presentational devices?
How to write about a presentational device:
The visual picture of the tropical shoreline shown in ‘The Dominican Republic’ advert has connotationsof a harmonious place, untroubled, stress free, secluded and restful; all the qualities a personis after when they are on holiday.
The blue ocean is isolated, with no people featured; this suggests that this would be the perfectescape from the rat race. The palm trees supports the idea of an idyllic breakaway.
