Information on Specimens Used:

General: All slides were prepared slides taken from the MMP slide libraryFluorescent channels on Lycopodium BF and Fluoro images were acquired manually due to NIS exposure changing issue in auto mode. Lily Anther and Brine Shrimp were acquired in auto-mode.All post image processing done in ImageJMetaData Format: Date/Scope/Objective; (Channel): Exposure/ BlackLevel/ Gamma/ WhiteLevel

Specific:

Used For Fluorescent Images

Specimen A1: Invitrogen Slide #4 16 µm cryostat section of mouse intestine w/ DIC: stained with Alexa

Fluor 350 (blue) wheat germ agglutinin to stain the mucus of goblet cells. The filamentous actin prevalent in the

brush border was stained with red-orange–fluorescent Alexa Fluor 568 phalloidin (A-12380) and SYTOX Green nucleic acid stain (S-7020) Specimen B: Lily Anther Cross Section with Pollen (Carolina Slide # nnnn)Specimen C1: Lycopodium Mature Strobillus (longitudinal section) (Slide # nnnn)

Used For Brightfield (Pseudo colorization) Images:

Specimen D: Brine Shrimp (Artemia Nauplii) Whole Section mount (Olympus Sample Slide # nnnn)Specimen E: Lycopodium Mature Strobillus (longitudinal section) (Slide # nnnn)
