So I decided to jump on a plane with my friend Ela to help build a
Habitat for Humanity house in Asheville, NC
Yes, we were giddy with delight...

Each Habitat volunteer is asked to raise donations for the
trip. The money raised will be used for the following:
Housing: we stayed at Sweet Peas Hostel
Cost of groceries: we made all our breakfasts, lunches and dinners
Donation to Asheville and Global Village Habitat for Humanity Chapters (fund housing material)

Habitat home owners buy their house from Habitat for Humanity•They must have income and good credit
•They must be able to take out a no interest mortgage w/the help of Habitat (15 year mortgage at no interest)
•Each adult must volunteer 200 hours on their house (Sweat Equity)
Wednesday, June 26, 13
The woman in the blue is Doris Pacheko, the homeowner of the house we built putting in her Sweat Equity hours...and lending a hand building her roof! Go Doris!!!
Wednesday, June 26, 13
The house for Doris wouldn’t have been possible without
YOU
...without your contributions
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart
