GLOBAL
WARMING
Greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane, trap heat and sunlight in the earth’s atmosphere, increasing the temperature.
Warming of the earth through carbon dioxide (CO2) being pumped into the atmosphere. Then the gases trap heat like the glass in a greenhouse. This is where the term “greenhouse effect” came from.
Atmosphere WarmingAtmosphere Warming Soil Warming Soil Warming Sea WarmingSea Warming
Tropical Forests & Grass Lands will disappear ,Ground water level will go
down and heat will increase.
Wind Warming will make cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons more violent and frequent.
Greenhouse gases in atmosphere Solar energy

Radiant heat is trapped
Our atmospheric “blanket” is over 37% “thicker” than it used to be
Increase in Green House Gas warms the planet
Decrease in Green House Gas cools the planet
Unfortunately there is a steep increase of the temperature in the last three decades
Greenhouse gases make the earth too hot, just like
Thicker blanket traps too much heat in SUMMER.
Thinner blanket is “just right.” IN SUMMER
Geographic North Pole is called the Arctic and includes almost the entire Arctic Ocean and northern areas of Europe, Asia, and North America.
Geographic South Pole is called the Antarctic and includes the continent of Antarctica and parts of the surrounding Southern Ocean

Greenland Ice Sheet Greenland is now losing 20 percent
more mass
than it receives from new snowfall
each year.
Glacier in Argentina
This glacier of Argentina has lost more than 4 kilometres in 4 years and still losing.

Glacier in Chile
Glacier in Chile appears to be losing mass than its diminishing
400 Years Old ICE Shelf Melted in Antarctic
220 meters thick Larsen B shelf existed for at least 400 years prior to breakup
An picture is worth for thousand words
Before the warming: Glacier National Park, USA 1932
After the warming: Glacier National Park, USA 1988
Gangotri glacier has retreated more than 850 meters, in the last 25 years
It has retreated more than 76 meters from 1996 to 1999
Snow and sea ice reflect 85-90% of sun’s energy
Ocean surface and dark soil reflect only 10-20%

The Arctic Ocean could be ice-free in summer

2001-2003 : A significant increase in the melting area has been observed along the edge of the ice cap in Greenland.
Where the whole water will go while the melting?
In Oceans
So the Oceans Water level will rise!
It is predicted that if the melting of ICE in the poles will be continuous then………
