FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a set of rules used to govern

the sending and receiving of files on the internet. Many

websites have associated FTP sites from which file can be

downloaded and people with the necessary access

privileges may also upload files to the File Transfer Protocol

site.

File Transfer Protocol allows you to find and

transfer electronic files stored on a computer. To

do this you will need the File Transfer Protocol

address of the computer where the files are held,

then the exact sub-address of the file on that

computer.
