CALL has come to encompass issues of materials design, technologies, pedagogical theories and modes of instruction. Materials for CALL can include those which are purpose-made for language learning and those which adapt existing computer-based materials, video and other materials.

CALL is important nowadays because it offers a variety of resources to improve our skills, for instance pronunciation due that CALL has the required programs to be more communicative and learn the language easily. CALL programs to improve pronunciation are American Speech Sound and Ellis Master Pronunciation.

CONCLUSIONThe history of Computer

Assisted Language Learning suggests that the computer can serve a variety of uses for language teaching. It can be a tutor which offers language drills or skill practice; a stimulus for discussion and interaction; or a tool for writing and research. With the advent of the Internet, it can also be a medium of global communication and a source of limitless authentic materials.
