• Gaming and Adult Film industries already embracing VR

• Live Steaming Events – Presidential Debate,MTV EMAs, NBA, Soccer, Nascar, NHL

• Education will be huge. Some schools already have been using it,especially history, geography and even math. Unis will embrace it

• Heath – Rehabilitation, Therapy, Meditation/Relaxation

• Medical – VR Surgery – Training and Remote

• Gaming – Fully immersive, Simulations

• Entertainment – Movies – sit on the moon and watch Netflix,Concerts – actually be there

• Experiences will be the BIG thing for most peopleTourism/Travel, Pleasure (Adult),things difficult (or expensive) to do

• There is a LOT of content already – mostly experiences and some early gaming

• Hamilton Island and the Great Barrier Reef – Qantas & AWOL

• Oculus store – 360 photos: Mars, around the world. 360 Cirque du Soleil a big hit

• Concerts (Paul McCartney), Scuba Diving, Car Driving, Star Wars 7 VR Trailer

• Adult films 20min - 4.3Gb

• Foreign Nature 10mins - 3Gb

*Note: average Blu-Ray movie is 4Gb for 1.5-2hours

• VR Experiences 3-6x currently downloaded content.Netflix hasn’t even gone to 4K video in Australia

• WiFi networks802.11b/g: 11/54Mb802.11n/ac: up to 1.3Gb802.11ax: potentially 10Gbwithout more spectrum it will get worse and ax not ratified

until 2019 – kit will sooner (2016)

• Public Carrier WiFi is on the rise – Telstra Air, Optus, TPG..

• Todays Examples Mobile Plans:• Telstra $70 – 7GB

Vodafone $80 – 11GBOptus $70 – 10GB

• Optus just launched Fixed Wireless 4G - $70 for 50Gb

• Thanks to OTT services like Netflix most Fixed line plans have been increased and will have no issues with VR. However, coverage still an issue while waiting for NBN

• Just like Netflix, carriers will have to figure out how to handle the large VR media

2016/17 – The Networks

• More Data in plans• More Apps being used – Death of SMS and normal calls. OTT - WhatsApp, Facebook,

Telegram, Skype, etc.• More Speed - More 4GX from more carriers• More Coverage - means new customers – even more network load• More Demand – not a lot for 4GX right now – use cases will drive demand

• VR, IoT, SVOD, Cloud Storage, Mobile Gaming, Mobile Education, AR appearing• Will have to be priced reasonably
