in Chhattisgarh which are lagging behind due to the factor of violence.

The concerned authorities have always faced a number of challenges in the implementation and carrying out development work in conflict zones, especially

Maoist-hit areas.

Through better and close cooperation and coordination among various agencies and use of modern technology, the centre has decided to carry out roads and bridges

development in Chhattisgarh especially in LWE areas.

As part of the phase-1 project, only around 3,200 km of the 5,477-km sanctioned stretch had been completed in 34 Naxal-affected districts.

The newly-constructed bridge over River Mahanadi has reduced the distance between District Headquarters Raigarh and Block Headquarters Baramkela by 28 kms.

In addition the Chhattisgarh State has also been advantageous in the connection of a number of villages which are situated at the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border, opening an

all-weather transport between both the states.

By maintaining the security cover for carrying out construction projects, the Chhattisgarh government has taken steps regarding the development in various sector

of the Chhattisgarh.
