As a band, with a genre of pop and they all are male, this image is trying to convey that they’re sexy young adults, which the image portrays, as the colours used are represented with fit hunky lads, and the clothes they are wearing are masculine but fashionable which the male segment of the audience, could use as a fashion icon as they are big stars. Another point about this image is that it constructs the theory of the rule of third; the eye takes use to certain visual point of the images, which this image has constructed well.

This is an image of a band called My Chemical Romance. The image has been edited as the tone of the image has been brighten to create a sense that they are a bright and vibrance band. The genre of the band is rock; as the composition shows that the band has tattoos and dyed hair. A theory “the rule of thirds” have been used effective in this image as the lead singer of the band is just off centre therefore getting the audiences eyes to go direct to the lead singer.

This is an image of a band called Paramore. In this image there are 3 people, who are in a dark tunnel/ path way, with a bright white light shining at the back of them. As the 3 are away, are facing away from the light this shows that they are about to go into some dark times. To emphasise the image the contrast is low, therefore making the image look darker, adding an effect that they should turn back. The use of monochrome has enhanced the image to make it look more mysterious and dark, as it makes the band look like they are going through hard times. The theory “the rule of thirds” haven’t been used in this image, therefore making the audience look straight through the middle of the image, this makes the image looks like it has more depth, as the three are stood in the middle, however the depth in the image has been increased by the white light in the background and the two walls which are leading out of the light. Formal symmetry has been added to this image; if you cut down the middle of the vertical axis, both halves of the image are exactly alike.

The background is blurred, as the foreground is clear therefore creating a depth of field, this has been done so the audience can concentrate on the singer. The background is full of chandeliers as well is full of nature such as plants and trees. This portrays that she an elegant girl and is true to herself and produces music which expresses to her.

This is an image of a rapper called Eminem. This image is a close of the rapper, shows his facial expressions portraying his emotion which is neutral, conveying that he is a light heart person and he like to rap about what he believes is true, as well this artist also looks serious, as this image shows that he is very serious about what he is doing. The positioning of the rapper in this image is right in the middle, therefore causing symmetry with his facial features, as well there is balance within this image as the dark and light colours are matched on each side. This is greyscale making this artist feel like a school artist as he has been out for many years producing music/producing music, however the contrast on this image is effective as it shows that he has two sides to him.

This is an image of a singer, Lady gaga. This image constructs the theory the rule of thirds well, as the singer is just off centre, which is leading out. The arm which is leading out is on level as one of the top horizontal line within the concept of the rule of thirds. The contrast in the image is used well as the background and her hair are both bright where as her prop, clothes and the makeup on her face is dark, there therefore each other compliments each other has they both stand out. The makeup on her face, gives a expression that she is dangerous in the music industry and her music is fierce. This is shown as the makeup is a lightning bolt shape.
