What is the Water Info Center?

A website providing employees and community members with 24X7 access to authoritative and live information on water distribution system events, including water main breaks, other emergency shutoffs and

planned water projects

Who maintains the map data and how?

Select maintenance staff utilizes a mobile editing website site to map and update emergency water shutoff events from iPhone Utility Engineering staff maps and updates planned water projects in the office using a desktop editing website We use separate editing websites for security purposes and to provide the best user experience for the platform – desktop vs mobile

Why Develop this Website?

To complement the city’s new enterprise CRM system called Inquire Boulder – a citywide initiative to improve customer service and empower the public with self-service tools to get information about and request city services To reduce inbound phone traffic during emergency water system events Provide all city staff with a common operational picture of water system events

Our web solution demonstrates what a non-programmer or a novice programmer can develop and deploy by leveraging sample code snippets and free templates available
