Sila Christian Church Moves!

Greetings friends and partners in ministry in Thailand. We so appreciate your prayers and partnership in sharing the Gospel! We have some exciting news. FCC-Kenosha Missions Team In March 2015 we had the privilege of hosting a mission’s team from First Christian Church Kenosha, Wisconsin. The team shared at the new church location in the Ta Mai It area of Chiang Mai as JR preached and Larry shared his testimony. Kathy and Michael taught the kids the story of God’s grace to Noah and his family while Michelle translated.

On March 17th, the missions team traveled five hours away from Chiang Mai to the Pa Pae village near Mae Sariang. We partnered with the Pa Pae Church there in holding an evangelism service where Larry shared about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. Since this is a big problem in the village many of the villagers came to hear how Larry overcame this addiction through Jesus Christ and help from Alcoholics Anonomous meetings. On March 18th, the team shared the Zacchaeus story as well as personal

testimonies with the Lawa village school children. The kids really enjoyed games like Bingo and hearing Michael’s testimony about getting involved and serving the Lord in missions work. We thank the Lord for the encouragement from the FCC-Kenosha

missions team and for their enthusiasm for Christ!

Easter Evangelism Outreach

On Saturday, April 4th, our family partnered with three other missionary families in our neighborhood to have an Easter Outreach. There were games, refreshments, an Easter egg hunt and a bilingual presentation of the story of the first Easter. Several people who normally do not attend church came out to hear the message of Jesus rising from the dead! One lady in particular who came with her child showed interest in friendship during the activities. As Michelle and I spoke with her we sensed that she is searching for something more in her life. We pray that she seeks Jesus in the coming months. Please join with us in praying for the people in the Lanna Pinery Home neighborhood and for follow-up with our new friends.

Children’s Ministry

On April 5th, Sunday, we traveled with the Sila Christian Church to Ob Khan National Park. Ajaan Kim preached and Michelle taught the children the Easter story. The church had a wonderful time enjoying God’s creation and learning about Jesus’ amazing power over death. Please take a moment to pray that each child pictured here would give their life to Christ.

Furlough Plans and Financial Needs

We plan to return for furlough this year from June-December 2015. We are so grateful for all of you who partner with us in the message of reconciliation by sacrificially giving so that our family can shine the light of Jesus to the Thai people. We look forward to meeting many of you during our time in the USA. Please pray that God uses our missions presentations to touch people’s hearts, and that many new supporters will begin partnering with Victory44 in Thailand.

Our family has taken on a new expense by moving to a home in the Hang Dong, Chiang Mai area. We felt it necessary to have a separate home away from the church facility. This expense of renting a new home adds another $330 per month, but provides a much healthier model in which our family can serve the Lord here in Chiang Mai long term.

Nathanael began attending Grace International School (GIS) in 6th grade. The school has been very helpful in his development as a missionary child. Another added expense for 2016 will be sending our daughter Hannah to GIS for the spring semester of Grade 4. Hannah would like to follow her brother, but as of this year, we do not have funds sufficient to take on this extra expense. Both the housing expense and Hannah’s education expense total about $700 per month of extra funds needed. We’re trusting in the Lord to meet our needs. We appreciate your sacrifices and partnership to share the Good News of Jesus with the Thai people.

In Christ,

Phil and Michelle Parker
