John 1:17

“CHARIS” - GRACE

Appropriately, the free unmeritedlove and favor of God, the springand source of all the benefits menreceive from him.

GRACE also means receiving God'sblessings we don't deserve.

A.YOU ARE PREDESTINED, ELECTED AND CHOSEN BY

GOD'S GRACE

Romans 11:5

So too, at the present timethere is a remnant chosen bygrace.

Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us inhim before the creation of theworld to be holy and blamelessin his sight. In love

Ephesians 1:5 he[3] predestinedus to be adopted as his sonsthrough Jesus Christ, inaccordance with his pleasureand will--

Ephesians 1:6 to the praise ofhis glorious grace, which he hasfreely given us in the One heloves.

Ephesians 1:7 In him we haveredemption through his blood,the forgiveness of sins, inaccordance with the riches ofGod's grace

B.YOU ARE JUSTIFIED BY GOD'S GRACE

NOTE: JUSTIFIED MEANS MADE RIGHT WITH GOD

Romans 3:23 for all havesinned and fall short of the gloryof God,

Romans 3:24 and are justifiedfreely by his grace through theredemption that came by ChristJesus.

Galatians 5:4 You who aretrying to be justified by law havebeen alienated from Christ; youhave fallen away from grace.

Titus 3:7 so that, having beenjustified by his grace, we mightbecome heirs having the hope ofeternal life.

Romans 5:16 Again, the gift of God isnot like the result of the one man's sin:The judgment followed one sin andbrought condemnation, but the giftfollowed many trespasses andbrought justification.

Romans 5:18 Consequently, just as theresult of one trespass wascondemnation for all men, so also theresult of one act of righteousness wasjustification that brings life for allmen.

C.YOU ARE SAVED BY GOD'S GRACE

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by graceyou have been saved,through faith--and this notfrom yourselves, it is the giftof God--

Acts 15:11 No! We believe it isthrough the grace of our Lord Jesusthat we are saved, just as theyare."

2Timothy 1:9 who has saved usand called us to a holy life--notbecause of anything we have donebut because of his own purposeand grace. This grace was given usin Christ Jesus before the beginningof time,

YOU ARE NOT SAVED THROUGH GOOD WORKS

Ephesians 2:8 (AMP) For it is by free grace(God's unmerited favor) that you are saved([3]delivered from judgment and madepartakers of Christ's salvation) through [your]faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves[of your own doing, it came not through yourown striving], but it is the gift of God;

Ephesians 2:9 (AMP) Not because of works [notthe fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest anyman should boast. [It is not the result of whatanyone can possibly do, so no one can pridehimself in it or take glory to himself.]

Ephesians 2:8 (NLT) God savedyou by his special favor whenyou believed. And you can't takecredit for this; it is a gift fromGod.

Ephesians 2:9 (NLT) Salvation isnot a reward for the good thingswe have done, so none of us canboast about it.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace,then it is no longer by works; if itwere, grace would no longer begrace

Galatians 2:21 I do not set asidethe grace of God, for ifrighteousness could be gainedthrough the law, Christ died fornothing!"

James 4:17

Anyone, then, whoknows the good he oughtto do and doesn't do it,sins.(NIV)

CONCLUSION:

My heart is amazed at thisthought of God's grace thatI'm chosen, justified andsaved. Nothing to complainanymore. Salvation in itself isa huge huge, huge wonderfulgift.
