Saint Louis IX (Born April 25 1214
Died August 25 1270)
Louis was crowned King of France when he was 12
years old. He was a Third Order Franciscan,
wearing his habit under his royal robes. Louis ruled
France for 44 years.

During his life, Saint Louis was celebrated for his
piety and kindness towards the poor.
His life was lived for the welfare of his subjects, making him a model for
future kings.
The Sisters of Saint Louis were named in his honor.
“Give thanks always and for
everything in the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ to God the Father.”
