Cross to Glory At Church – 25th April 2015

It is an honour and privilege to be invited to give a talk today in the house of

the Lord. I love Jesus.

PROTOCOL

I am tasked for this evening, to inspire and motivate you to look at the cross

and then cross you over to God’s Glory, all in less than 5 minutes. A big

challenge, but with God all things are possible, amen!

Brothers and Sisters, to do this I have a couple of ideas I want to quickly share

with you on looking at the cross and crossing over to GLORY. Let’s get started!

1. There is Glory on the cross. Yet, you ought to be on the cross with Jesus

Christ to receive Glory. You need to be on your cross to receive God’s

Glory.

2. To be on the cross does not mean hanging with your body dripping off

blood and in terrible pain, helpless on wood.

3. On the contrary, it means your situation in life has to somehow be

equivalent to what Jesus went through on the mountain called the Skull,

in order for the Glory of God to be upon you.

4. You can imagine the kind of pain Jesus was under, to even break down in

hopelessness that his own Father, Yahweh, the Living God had forsaken

him:

‘’Eli Eli lama sabachthani’’ /‘’My God My God why have you left me?’

Jesus cried with a loud voice, Mathew chapter 27 verse 46 tells us.

How tragic! How hopeless!

We are talking about God’s son here and not just God’s child; that being

you and me. We need to understand brothers and sisters that Glory

goes hand in hand with Hope.

I am here to tell you this evening that God responds to your hope and

not your pain.

God’s Glory is not for playing or wasting like we sometimes do with our

flesh, time, money, love, gifts and life.

God’s Glory shows when you truly hit rock bottom.

Only when you have lost ALL hope, then shall you invoke the heavens to

release God’s Glory upon your life.

5. We must be in a position where we can understand the pain of Jesus in

order to understand his ways of believing and only then can we be ready

to receive God’s Glory.

6. God’s Glory is good mystic fortune that ONLY God gives or transcends.

Be aware then that it will not happen all the time, whereby God’s Glory

shall be showered unto to you.

7. For God is glorious not man. For God is holy not man. For God does not

waste.

8. Scholars have tried to define Glory but the Holy Spirit tells us that God’s

Glory is the release of God’s power on earth.

9. God’s Glory is when God’s Holiness has come down to earth.

10.Understand that your situation needs to be extremely difficult for the

Holiness of God to transcend the earth.

11.Understand again that there must be a situation in your life, where it

happens that your imagination, thoughts, body and soul cannot do

anything further, where you cannot push no more, where you cannot

even recall ‘mama’. Where your Hope and your Will have reached the

possible human limit.

12.A moment so humanly impossible to solve; yet when you blink, God

saves the day!

13.Don’t you remember a time you said, ‘I came out but I didn’t know who

pushed me’,

14. ‘I came up but I don’t know who lifted me’

15. ‘I got out but I still don’t know who opened for me’,

16.‘I got it but I don’t know what they saw in me’

17.‘I didn’t qualify but I was chosen amongst the qualified’.

18.Then that elevation from your greatest stretch, that little assistance to

your greatest attempt, that little extra energy after you have worked so

harder than your friend could believe; that hour, which always brings a

tear in your eyes, every time, you think about, THAT was the moment

you witnessed God’s GLORY.

19.The moment God took the trouble to come to earth just for you.

20. Just so that you get to the other side. Just like the good thief who was

on the cross punished for his criminal actions being pushed to paradise

by Jesus, just crossing him over to the other side.

21.The moment God took the trouble to come to earth just for you in your

hour of righteousness. Just so you cross over to GLORY!

22.God’s Glory is not usually released into your life, when you need a job.

Rather when you undoubtedly need a living.

23.God’s Glory is not usually released into your life when you need healing.

Rather, when you undoubtedly need to heal others with your life.

24.God’s Glory is not usually released into your life when you are poor.

Rather God’s Glory is released into your life when you are neglected.

25.God’s Glory is not usually released into your life when you have marital

problems. Rather, when you have family needs.

26.God’s Glory is not usually released when you are broke and all your

friends have made it, rather when you need to pray.

27.God is glorious and that means he can show up in your life when you

need serious bail-out in your life.

28.God’s Glory is not usually released when you have lost a loved one.

Rather when you need to find hope again.

29.God does not bail you out when you think you deserve the Glory but

when you think God has actually forsaken you.

30.Somebody in this room needs to look to the cross and say Jesus, Thank

you Jesus! Thank you Lord.

31.For right there at the cross there is Glory. When you said, God should

forgive me for I do not know what I was doing; you actually meant God

should not lose ALL HOPE in me.

32.You were on the cross and you made a bargain with God that he may

never lose ALL hope in me for I judge, I sin, I mock and I disobey but you

kept advocating for me that I be saved!

33.I get it now! God’s Glory goes hand in hand with my HOPE. When God

sees hope in me, then whenever that day comes that my hope dies, God

shall show me Glory.

34.On that cross, you did not focus on your terrible pain but on my promise

to GLORY. For you said, today I assure you, you shall be with me in

paradise. John Chapter 23; 41.

35.Jesus did not lose hope in God when he cried out loud, Eli Eli. NO! Jesus

cried out to ask from God for the Glory of God, to always come down, on

earth, to those who look up at the cross and remember his SACRIFICE!

36.The Glory of God is so powerful that when it transcends, when it comes

down to earth, JUST FOR YOU;

37.time stops,

38.the heavens get jealous,

39.lightning panics,

40.mountains boil up,

41.the whiteness in clouds turns charcoal and the earth opens and tears,

42.the bones of kings get paralyzed and men look for shelter in the

darkness,

43. But YOU the saved, you get a breakthrough. Yes, your breakthrough is

that important to God!

44.YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS THAT IMPORTANT TO GOD!

45.I HAVE SEEN, MY BREAKTHROUGH IS THAT IMPORTANT TO GOD!

46.We are finishing now! LET ME SHARE WITH YOU A COUPLE OF

ANNOUNCEMENTS.

47.If ever God has given you a breakthrough in your life, you need to cross

over!

48.Just know that when Jesus said it was FINISHED.

49.He meant you had the allowance to God’s Glory for eternity.

50.You my brothers and sisters will never be broke again, you will never be

anxious again, you will never be lonely again, you will never be lost

again, you will never be poor again, and you will never be desperate no

more.

51.For it is FINISHED. It is ACCOMPLISHED.

52.Shout, ‘IT IS FINISHED!’

53.Well, how do I cross over to GLORY? It is simple, JUST give it back!

54.You need to give God back the Glory.

55. The principle was you need to return to Caesar what belongs to Caesar.

And he was only human.

56.Therefore, in application you my Christian friend, you will cross to Glory

by giving back the GLORY to God.

57.Somebody needs to cross over now. Somebody needs to reach for the

other side in their life. Somebody needs to praise the holiness of God.

Somebody needs to give thanks and praises to the Living God.

58.Somebody in this room needs to shout. My God, My God you are holy!

My God, My God thank you for the Glory you showed in my life.

59.Thank you for coming right through when I had no HOPE.

60.I am not coming all by myself to you. I am bringing my neighbour with

me.

61.We are going to give you the praise!

62. We are to stand up and put our hands up, clap them up and dance and

shake-shake and we will whistle and jump and do everything that’s

worthy of your worship.

63.That’s our purpose today and with the rest of our days! To look at the

Cross for Glory then Cross over our lives through worship and

celebrations just as King David would.

64.YOU are the God of breakthroughs and WE worship you tonight!

the Glory to God in Worship and in Song.
