THE POINT
We saw the beauty of creation last Sunday and we were impressed how God created man so differently from all the other creatures. Today we want to understand a bit more what the Bible says of creating man in the image and likeness of God. What does that mean? Understanding that man is a spirit being is very important because the Bible addresses itself to the spirit being that we are and not knowing that we are spirit beings, me miss it. Today God wants to help us have the right knowledge about ourselves so that we can live the righteous and holy live that He wants us to live.
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
THE PRIVILEGE OF MAN
AFTER GOD CREATED ALL THE OTHER CREATURES, HE DECIDED TO CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS.Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT
THE SPIRIT BY NATURE RECEIVES HIS LIFE AND ACTION THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. WITHOUT THE WORD OF GOD,
THE SPIRT MUST BE TOTALLY INACTIF. IF THE SPIRIT ACTS WITHOUT THE WORD OF GOD
OR CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD, IT DIES.Genesis 1:1-3
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.”
THE CREATION
THE CREATION IS THE PRODUCT OF THE SPIRIT IN CONJONCTION WITH
THE WORD OF GODPsalm 104:30
“Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.”

THE SPIRIT MUST GENERATE ACTIONS IN TUNE WITH GOD IN EVERYTHING
JOHN 5:19“Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”
THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT
WITHOUT GOD, MAN THE SPIRIT BEING IS POWERLESS
JOHN 15:5“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

MAN MUST LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD. WHEN GOD SPEAKS, MAN MUST ALLOW THE WORD OF GOD (SPIRIT & LIFE) TO ENTER HIM
AND LIVE THROUGH HIMMATTHEW 4:4
“Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

THE OBLIGATION OF RELATIONSHIP
GOD MUST INTERRACT WITH MAN WHO IS A SPIRIT BEING.
IN THE PROCESS, GOD IS HAPPY BECAUSE HE HAS A PARTNER AND
MAN IS HAPPY BECAUSE HE IS LIVING.LIFE IS IN PERFECT HARMONY AND
THE WILL OF GOD IS DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
THE NATURE OF RELATIONSHIP
EVERY WORD OF GOD IS AN INSTRUCTION OF THE SPIRIT POWER THEREFORE IT IS A COMMAND THAT MUST BE EXECUTED BY THE SPIRIT
ACTION OF MAN
THE RELATIONSHIP
SO GOD SPOKE TO ADAM TO ESTABLISH THE NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP.
I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU A LOT OF LIBERTY BUT IF YOU ACT OUTSIDE THAT LIBERTY, YOU WILL DIE.
Genesis 2:16“And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”
THE RELATIONSHIP
MAN DISOBEYED AND HE DIED.THE SPIRIT IN HIM DIED. THE CONNECTION WAS BROKEN.
Genesis 3:6“When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.”
THE RESTORATION OF LIFE
JESUS CAME TO RESTORE LIFEJOHN 10:10
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
THE PROCESS RESTORATION OF LIFE
GOD PRODUCES A NEW SPIRIT AND PUTS IT IN MAN
EZECKIEL 36:26-27“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws..”

GOD PRODUCES A NEW SPIRIT BEING. A NEW MAN
2 CORITHIANS 5:17“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old (spirit) has gone, the new (spirit) has come!
THE BLESSING IN CHRIST
WE DEAD BUT IN CHRIST WE HAVE FOUND LIFE
AGAIN.HALLELUIAH !!!!
WHO YOU ARE!!!

CONSCIOUS OF YOUR SPIRIT
