Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

Islam is based on belief and worship of One God (Allah), the Creator, and belief that Muhammad is the last in a long line of prophets and messengers.

Muslims affirm their belief by declaring the shahadah, or testimony of faith:

"I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad

is his Messenger."

Page 21: Lesson 6

Testimony of Faith (Shahadah)

This statement is repeated several times throughout the day.
