Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously GIVEN to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! We were also GIVEN absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you--your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a world corrupted by lust. So don't lose a minute in BUILDING on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus.

BUILDING ON WHAT YOU HAVE…

  (NCV) Through these he gave us the very great and precious promises. With these gifts you can share in being like God, and the world will not ruin you with its evil desires.

• (BBE) And through this he has given us the hope of great rewards highly to be valued; so that by them we might have our part in God's being, and be made free from the destruction which is in the world through the desires of the flesh. • (WNT) It is by means of these that He has granted us His

precious and wondrous promises, in order that through them you may, one and all, become sharers in the very nature of God, having completely escaped the corruption which exists in the world through earthly cravings.

MANIFESTING HIS DIVINE NATURE…

THE EXCELLENT SPIRIT…

•A quality that is both spiritual and natural•A spiritual attribute manifested in natural qualities (if it is just the spirit ,how can the unbeliever recognize it ?)•Natural characteristics that reflects what is happening in the spirit realm•Habits that must be worked on to reflect a spiritual position•Not in a competitive mode but reflecting the fruits of the Spirit i.e the real manifestation of the sons of God

•  Dan4:8 But at the last Daniel...., whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods:• Dan4:9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, ......• Dan4:18..... Now thou, O Belteshazzar, …, forasmuch as all the

wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.• Dan5:11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him ( NOT IN A BOOK ); ......, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

VISIBLE TO THE UNGODLY…

• 1Sam 16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

• Gen 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

• EVEN GOD TESTIFIES ... But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. JESUS SAID?•Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

•(NLT) In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Mat5:16,DAN5:11 )

HOW ?

1.THROUGH DESIRE…..• Excellent spirit is not a gift, it must be pursued.• Psa 63:1 ....O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; • (AMP) ....O GOD, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. • (GNB) O God, you are my God, and I long for you. My whole being desires you; like a dry, worn-out, and waterless land, my soul is thirsty for you.

THROUGH DESIRE…..[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] (AMP) phil3:10

• Progressively :advocating more enlightened,by continuous improvement.•More deeply: to a considerable extent downward; well within or beneath a surface.• Intimately acquainted: Relating to or indicative of one's deepest nature• Understanding:discernment,enlightened intelligence

TO KNOW- to recognise or perceive.To recognise is to be aware through training or exercising either by observation, research or information- this is of the mind. To Perceive – is to have it in your consciousness, intuit, reveal, discern – this is of the spirit

2.INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..•To be intimate with someone is to go deeper with the person beyond surface level•To understand the way the person thinks and understudy his thinking pattern•Being ready to be influenced with the person’s character, language and reflecting the habits/fruits of HIS personality& behaving in the same manner…..termed as the “spirit of the holy gods” in Daniels times because he was passionate with the law of God

INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..JOHN16:7(AMP) However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..•2Co13:14 (AMP) The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation, HARMONY,COMMUNICATION,INTIMATE FRENDSHIP,SHARING OF LIFE,COMMON SHARING) OF the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it).

INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..• 1Co 2:10 : ….for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. • 1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. • 1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..• 1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. • 1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. • Joh16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

INTIMACY QUESTION…..• IF DANIEL COULD BE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT THE LAW OF HIS GOD TO THE EXTENT THAT IT AFFECTS,WHAT HE EATS (DAN1:8),AND NO FAULT COULD BE FOUND IN HIM EXCEPT CONCERNING THE LAW OF HIS GOD (DAN6:5)………… WHAT PERCENTAGE INFLUENCE THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS IN YOUR DAILY LIFE DECISIONS ? 9,6,4,OR 0….. GAL3:24-25…LAW WAS A SCHOOL MASTER UNTILL FAITH CAME…NOW NO LONGER UNDER LAW

INTIMACY WITH HOLY SPIRIT…..•WE MUST YIELD OURSELVES TO HIS TEACHING (1COR2:13)…THE LIGHT/TRUTH.. ELSE WE WILL SUBSTITUTE THE TRUTH WITH THE FACTS AND REFLECT WHAT MAN’S WISDOM IS TEACHING OR RESUME UNDER EX SCHOOL MASTER THE LAW OR VEILED BY READING MOSES AND SPIRITS FRUITS WILL BE DIFFICULT TO MANIFEST FOR THE WORLD TO SEE(EPH5:9,GAL5:22,24,25)

3. PASSIONATE READINESS FOR LIGHT…..(AMP) The entrance and unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple.

(CEV) Understanding your word brings light to the minds of ordinary people.

(DRB) The declaration of thy words giveth light: and giveth understanding to little ones Psa119:130

Job33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

(NO LIGHT) Psa62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this…….

3. PASSIONATE READINESS FOR LIGHT…..1Ti 4:13,15 Till I come, devote yourself to [public and private] reading, …… Practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them [as your ministry], so that your progress may be evident to everybody.

1Ti 4:15 Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes!(msg)

• READING :• Making meaning from print. :-• 1.Recognition-identifying word in print• 2.Comprehension-construct an understanding from them• 3.Coordinate identifying words and making meaning from them• Luk 4:17....And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

STUDYING:•A state of deep mental absorption, applying the mind to learning and understanding a subject •To examine or investigate carefully and in detail, observe attentively,scrutinize,•To think out, as the result of careful consideration, read carefully or intently

• CULTIVATE:to prepare and work on, to promote or improve the growth of, by educating, training• MEDITATE: To engage 

in thought or contemplation, reflecting on the “WORD”• IMMERSE : To become completely involved in something

PRACTICE :•To do something again and again in order to become better at it• To do (something) regularly or constantly as an ordinary part of your lifeLuk 4:16a And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was,..on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

3. PASSIONATE READINESS FOR LIGHT…..2 Timothy 4:13(MSG) Bring the winter coat I left in Troas with Carpus; also the books and parchment notebooks.

Dan 9:2 During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, was studying the writings of the prophets. I learned from the word of the LORD, as recorded by Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.

Jer15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat(consume/chew gradually) them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

• The world is searching for answers in looks,talents,skill affluence,perfomance and you are in the same world with wise men of the world.. magicians, astrologers, diviners, sorcerers and you are to manifest the character of your Father as the son of God & as master over the world wisemen…you need light(the truth) from Him

YOU might need your natural mind to differentiate between the good and bad, but you will need an excellent spirit to know the difference between the good and the good.TO CERTIFY/EDUCATE MY MIND, I WENT TO SCHOOL,TO CULTIVATE EXCELENT SPIRIT I NEED PASSIONATE READINESS

4.THROUGH FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION…..Heb13:5-6..... for He [God] Himself has said,……..

(ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATIONS OF GOD , (TESTED GUARANTEED DOCUMENT ) AND ARE PROFITABLE…….AND …..THE INSPIRATION OF GOD GIVES UNDERSTANDING (Job32:8) )

THE WORD IS SPIRIT & LIFE (JOHN6:63)LIVING AND ACTIVE (HEB4:12) BUT IS LATENT IN A LETTER /NOTE/BOOK, IT CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED BY FAITH IN YOUR HEART ,POTENT THROUGH YOUR MOUTH (2NDCOR4:13) CANNOT RETURN UNPRODUCTIVE (ISA55:11)

4.THROUGH FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION…..It has been claimed that women speak about 20,000 words a day - 13,000 more than the average man –(7,000)

IF THIS IS TRUE…..HOW MANY % ARE FAITH FILLED WORD

NOTE: LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF TONGUE

MAY BE MANY BELIEVERS’ WORD ARE “KILLING MISSILE”

ON THE WORK OF THEIR HAND……. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

4.THROUGH FAITH-FILLED CONFESSIONHEB13:6(AMP) So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say,

(GNB) Let us be bold, then, and say, ......

(WNT) So that we fearlessly say, .. ….If “I” SPEAK not according to this WORD, it is because there is no LIGHT in “ME”. Isa8:20 (kjv)

4.THROUGH FAITH-FILLED CONFESSION• (AMP) But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. (MAT12:36)• (NLV) I say to you, on the day men stand before God, they will have to give an answer for every word they have spoken that was not important. • (MSG) Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously.
