Each Day Is Important

Ecclesiastes 12:1 (NIV) Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”—

Psalm 90:12 (NIV) Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV) Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Psalm 90:17 (NIV) May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.

Each Day Is Important

Time is broken up into millenniums, centuries, decades, years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds for our benefit. The benefit to us is separation. We do not have to be held captive by a single division of time, we can separate and walk in a new division. God is the Father of time and He created it to be used in the same way represented in the beginning. Time is to be used for creating. Today’s message begins a new series of conversations that we will have concerning the purpose of our days.

Genesis 2:1-3 (NIV) 1Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Matthew 23:23 (NIV) 23“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
