The big questions…

How Secure is it?

Can I integrate my other systems with ERP in the cloud?

Will I loose performance in the cloud?

How good does my internet connection have to be?

What is the uptime?

What about Failover, Backups and Disaster recovery?

Can I migrate existing data and applications to the cloud?

Where will my data be?

Can I get to my data whenever I need it?

How secure is the Cloud?

For many organisations considering a move to the Cloud, security is a prime concern.

All data communication is secured with an SSL certificate from an experienced Certificate Authority. This means that all data sent over the internet is encrypted and secure.

Cloud setups are also architected and deployed in network layers, so the data is never exposed to the internet directly.

For all security aspects we conduct independent (by PWC), annual audits of all our systems and processes, to ensure our compliance with both the ISAE 3402 and SSAE16 Type II certification standards. Security is a major feature of these audits.

Can I integrate my other systems with the Cloud?

There are 2 different setups in the cloud. Public Cloud and Private Cloud:

In a public cloud you connect to the database and system using default services. This is also known as a “multi-tenant” deployment.

A private cloud you are far more flexible and there are more options to connect. This is known as a “Single Tenant” deployment.

Across the companies we work with, industry-specific integrations and customisations are a standard requirement, we are flexible in how we accommodate these.

Will I lose performance in the Cloud?

Performance is one of our documented guarantees in the cloud.

We will make sure that the application performs, and will scale the environment as needed.

SaaSplaza uses advanced monitoring tools, including the complete Microsoft System Center suite, to monitor performance.

Page 12: QCards: NAV2016 in the Cloud

How good does my internet connection have to be?

Minimum requirements are 2 Mbps for download and 0.5 Mbps for upload, or higher.

Internet latency however can affect the performance directly, so during testing Internet connection latency should be under 100 milliseconds.

To minimise latency we operate from different datacenters round the world, including Microsoft Azure, to provide the end-user with the best experience based on their location.

For regions where bandwidth can be an issue, like Africa, SaaSplaza also offer RDS clients because they require less bandwidth.

What is the uptime?

A minimum uptime level is another of our guarantees. We financially back our minimum uptime level of 99.9% per month.

This guarantee applies to the application level, not just the infrastructure level.

Why? Because the server can be running but the application can be down, so we monitor the application uptime.

We have global, 24/7 support with engineers all over the world to keep track of your system.

Page 14: QCards: NAV2016 in the Cloud

What about Failover, Backups and Disaster recovery?

To achieve our 99.9% uptime guarantee we need to have High Availability (Failover) in place. This is the standard setup for all our servers and network components.

Backups are made on a daily basis and stored for 1 month, and are stored in at least two different datacenters.

Disaster Recovery is a service that we provide for many clients, with the option to provide full system recovery from multiple recovery sites.

Page 15: QCards: NAV2016 in the Cloud

Can I migrate existing data and applications to the Cloud?

Yes, as well as Dynamics Cloud Applications we also offer Infrastructure connections to existing data and applications, with an SLA on the connection.

So we manage the connection and provide direct support in providing the best cloud solution for these applications, but the applications remain the responsibility of your partner for updates and maintenance.

Page 16: QCards: NAV2016 in the Cloud

Where will my data be?

This depends on which datacenters are used for your solution, can be around the world.

Data Backups and Disaster Recovery are always stored in at least two different datacenters.

Page 17: QCards: NAV2016 in the Cloud

Can I get my data whenever I need it?

Data is always be owned by the customer

Upon request we will always deliver you the data.
