• One of the first well known social medias• Users of all ages • You can:

– Make new and regroup with friends– Post blogs– Add music – Post pictures– Message users– Comment – Top friends– Design your own unique layout

• Launched by Tom Anderson and Chris Dewolfe in 2003, headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA

• In 2005 Myspace was worth $580 million• From 2005-2008 MySpace was the most visited

website in the world. • Was the supreme social media source until

2008• Rival Facebook came into play in 2008 taking

users away from Myspace

• In 2009 Myspace had 1600 workers • June 2011 Myspace was bought by Justin

Timberlake and Specific Media group• After the new ownership employees got laid

off and Myspace was reduced to 200 employees

• As of 2013 there are still 50 million users

• MySpace is on the decline• Creative new features can potential help boost its

productivity but most people have moved on to newer social medias such as Twitter and Facebook

• People like changes and Myspace took too long to change

• Advertisements are not very promising through this social media due to the lack of recent production
