A 140-character status update that can include pictures, video, links to a site and much more…

(Retweet)

When someone shares a tweet with their followers, by either pressing the retweet icon, or quoting the tweet, starting with ‘RT @username’

Who Should I Follow?

✓ Start by following others on Twitter who are working in your industry or who are somehow related.(Follow your colleagues!)

✓ Have a look at who those people are following. Follow some of those people too.

✓ Brands & blogs tend to be more consistent and interesting

✓ It takes a while to get your feed right

Engaging & Networking on twitter

Using hashtags is a great way to build your following, start engaging with people and discover your ‘voice’. It’s a confidence exercise.

Use hashtags(but not to the point of death!)

Tweets with ONE or TWO hashtags get

double the engagement

than those without.

Hashtags are not caps sensitive.

#eLearning and #ELEARNING will both display the same feed of tweets.
