Be sure to RSVP! Holiday parties are the perfect opportunity to network and connect with the influences in your industry. RSVP-From the French it means please reply! The host/hostess wants to know if you are attending. Reply promptly, with a day or two of receiving an invitation How to respond-Reply in the manner indicated on the invitation. * RSVP and no response card: a handwritten note to the host at the return address on the envelope. * Response Card: fill in and reply by the date indicated and return in enclosed envelope. * RSVP with phone: telephone and speak to the person, do not rely on answering machines. * RSVP with email: you may accept or decline electronically. * Regrets only: reply only if you cannot attend. If your host/hostess doesn’t hear from you, they are expecting you! No shows are accepted only in emergences. * Call your host/hostess immediately. Be considerate of the hostess and RSVP; you will stand out from the crowd...and you will remain on the VIP list.
