Final Project by Fabio Miani

Launching New Ventures 2015

Identifying & evaluating opportunitiesWe are living the sharing economy revolution, with which people living in big cities can solve some common problem :

NOT ENOUGH TIME NOT ENOUGH SPACE

Ideas of business:

● a peer-to-peer postal service may reduce costs and time for users ● a marketplace where users can share basement rooms and spare stuff

● a platform of touristic guides in Paris, one of the most visited city in the world, for Italians and Spanish tourists and why not in other languages ?.....and why not in other countries ?

In 3 years our ambition is to create a platform where tourists and guides can meet themselves everywhere !

Our team is composed by Italian certifided tourist guides living in Paris since a while. In this early stage, we are focusing our attention to better understand Italian tourists coming for few days in Paris. First customers have been gained in a direct way during the waiting line of the Louvre Museum: we propose to skip the line and visit the museum with a qualified tour of two hours.

The value of our cultural customer service

save time

don’t feel lost

enjoy funny teaching

Understanding the customers

core business features could have

Building a compelling value proposition

Offering Museums and neighborhoods tours

Starting with most attractive tours and differents places like street art and food.

Tailoring the product and suggesting new ideas.

Increasing customer services with logistic facilities.

As a result of our services, Italian tourists in Paris, who are facing time and language constraints, will buy our cultural tours, starting from 25 euros per person, and enjoy in few hours a personal, familiar and qualified discovery of the city, compared to dispersive tour operators. The advantages of using our offerings are time savings and enhancement of customer experience.

Market Analysis

A quick analysis of Italians in Paris by pro.visitparisregion.com

There are some competitors, but they are not really targeting the

Italian customers. They exclusively work as institutional or corporate

guides for a specific museum, offering their service to big groups of

tourists (French and English), using head phones and giving a kind of

tedious and dispersive customer experience. Generally they need to

respect a corporate scheduling and their availability is quite limited.

We work instead with small groups in a familiar and emphatic way

and we are always available.

Other competitors are free-lance guides that we may “hire” in the

next few months and Sandeman, whom business model is different,

proposing free city tours to English and Spanish, working on a tips-

only basis.

Getyourguide may be a direct competitor althought is our inspirating

business model which we aim to differenziate and improve.

Our website www.napoleonetours.com and Social Networks

Customers satisfaction

Growthhacking, marketing mix & market entrySo far we are: - creating our customers database and expanding our social network- networking with Italian tourism agencies, restaurants, hotels and AirBnB in Paris

● blog with different topics and tips for tourists

● create some social contest to get more followers: share a picture with Napoleone’s hat or wait for 1000 likes on Facebook to win a free tour.

● going live with Persicope, showing our 2 hours tour of the Louvre, to get followers and users (other guides)

We want to reach in one year a 70% of website bookings

What are we planning ?\

Managing Resources and Value Capture We are investing our initial cash-flow in small marketing campains

as t-shirts, stickers and flyers.

Even if someone may copy our idea, we are focusing our attention to

shape a strong identity to become a reference for tourists

and hire new guides.

October 2015 :

Crow-funding campaign to gather 5,000 - 8,000€

with pre-sales to:

❏ create the LLC (SaRL in France)

❏ register Logos

❏ improve website/platform

❏ create an app

❏ create blog content

❏ develop our network

All our guides met themselves working as touristic guides for an agency in Paris whom business model was tips-only based targeting Spanish and Italian toursits. Working “on the field” the guides quickly observed and understood the Italian tourists behaviours and needs, deciding to improve the business model and work for their own.

The team is composed by five touristic guides, certified by the French Republic and graduated in historical and artistic disciplines. Each of them has different interests : Maurizio is a musician, Luca has a predilection for classic writers, Angelica likes architecture and urban requalification, Francesca is our half italian and half spanish guide loving street art and Maria is passionate of French pastry and food. All these topics will be present in the future blog of Napoleone Tour website and will be used to propose some thematic tour.

About the team

What do we still need ?English and Spanish native speakers guides : in a first

moment we will hire two new guides then we aim to gather more guides via our social website

A web developer : we plan to crowdsource this job in order to develop and improve an efficient web platform.
