What to do when you are having a bad day.
Citation preview
Having a bad day?
It’s one of those days.
Ever since you’ve got out of bed,
things have gone from bad to
worse.
You’ve missed your connections
to work.
You’ve split coffee on your brand
new shirt.
You feel totally out-of-sorts.
You can’t quite put your finger on
why you feel miserable, but it is
wearing you down.
So what can you do when you
find yourself feeling like this?
Some ideas include:
1. Realize the day will soon be
history!
Use this realization as a way of
looking forward to a fresh day on
the morrow.
2. Appreciate when things do go
well.
For example:
Positive thinking along the lines
of:
‘Today was a good day’
helps to fuel feel-good vibes.
3. Sustain a positive mindset with
a healthy body.
For example:
Going for a walk at lunchtime is
one way of refreshing mind, body,
and spirit.
4. Get more sleep – perhaps you
are just tired.
5. Share a good belly laugh with
a friend.
Know that by breathing in more
oxygen, you are helping your body
to neutralize stress.
Other positive side-effects to
laughing include:
• Other people tend to respond in
a positive manner to people who
are upbeat.
• You get to view life from a more
positive perspective
