Design Thinkingfor Makers!
Elda Maria Webb – The Curious Design Network
She has a curious mind, and is always wandering they whys around her. When confronted with challenges instead of saying "well, that's life", you will hear her saying "No!,there has to be a better answer to this". She sees a great creative potential in Singapore that needs to be unleashed. Today is a very exciting day because she can see how things have grown at the Maker fair. She is also taking a big step today and from being a volunteer in the past, now she decided to help us discover the maker in us. Hoping that next year we can see more makers in the next Singapore Mini Maker Fair.

Ng Pan Yew – Electronics hobbyist
As an electronics and hands-on hobbyist, I has built and created numerous electronics-related stuff. Recently, I start to build something that has Local content
I have always been fascinated with the vibrancy and attractiveness of Marina Bay's cityscape. This motivated me to embark on creating a mini-LED light display of Marina Bay, so as to showcase and bring out its beauty to be admired by viewers. Many of Singapore's iconic structures - the Merlion, Singapore Flyer and Esplanade, just to name a few - are located in Marina Bay. They are depicted in this LED light display, and operate in sync with your choice of music!
Beside this I also build Dancing ball @ garden by the bay and Song of the Sea model.

What I've learned so far...
• It's never too late to start tinkering
• Making stuff is much easier than it used to be
• Projects have a way of growing...
• Going it alone is slow (and less fun)
• If at first you don't succeed, stop

Zenglove is an intuitive, human hand gesture based controller, which could be interfaced with all devices capable of interacting using Bluetooth or any other wireless communication technology. It is based on natural gestures which one would normally make while executing tasks in a real world scenario. For example, tilting one’s palm to control the tilt, yaw, pitch or roll of a quad-copter or a drone. It has the extremely convenient form factor of a human glove, and comes with different set of application specific sensors/controllers to suit needs of a broad category of users intending to use the device for different set of applications.

Xiaomi
Christine Beh - Leathercraft
Xiaomi the founder is a typical Kampung girl who had spent her childhood in the little mountain away from concrete jungle. Natural surrounding like waterfall, bird singing, dog barking and children laughter in these day younger generation can never experience but she had spent her 18 years growing up from the tranquil forest.
DREAMs to reality when she had her 1st baby girl in year 2012. The exciting experience of the baby girl arrival has reminded of her childhood dream when at the age of 14, the same feeling she had when she make her first handmade bag from her old torn jeans.
It’s time she decided to continue her passion of making handbag, not from her old torn jeans anymore but genuine leather, that’s the story began of Xiaomi’s Handmade Leather Bag.
