All-Russian Union of Oils and Fatswas established in 1998, and began its activity in1999. Now the Union has more than 50members of oils and fats production and relatedindustries plants, which produce about 80% ofRussian vegetable oils and fats. Our members arethe main Russian oil manufactures: the holdingcompany "Solar Products", "EFCO", "YugRusi", "Nizhny Novgorod Oil and Fat Plant",“Sodrugestvo, "Petrosojuz", Aston" and others.The Union brought the significant contributionto the establishment and development of the oilsand fats industry in Russia since its foundation.

The Union provides the effective producingopportunity to its members in oils and fatsindustry.The Union is the leader in technicalregulations, and state standardization process inoils and fats industry. It organizes the scientificresearch in the industry development projects.Russia has become the member of WTO in 2012.Since that time the search for new partners inall countries (Russian partners in commercialrelations) became one of the main tasks of theUnion. We are looking forward to long-termmutually beneficial cooperation with ourpartners.The demand for our products is steadily growingin the world. That is why, we can see an increasein production of vegetable oils in Russia (seechart).

Russia has a great source of raw materials (the increasing in 2-3 times is possible), whichallows to grow the production of goods for the citizens and for export (vegetable oil, mayonnaise,margarine, spreads, etc.). As well we can produce special fats for baking, confectionery, dairyindustry (produced out of vegetable oils) for domestic market and for export.

The nearest goals of Union are:

- to develop the export opportunities of oil and fat industry, both in vegetable oils, and in downstream products;

- to improve the products quality in the oils and fats industry as well as to expand the products range and to develop sales promoting on the Russian and foreign markets;

- to search for the new ways of using our new products for food and technical purposes, both within the country and for export.
