As a result of rapid expansion and

subsequent growth, the company has

adopted new technologies and systems.

Without an effective Business

Intelligence (BI) tool accessible to key

decision makers, managing growth

within the company had become an

ever-increasing challenge.

While using Microsoft Dynamics NAV for

each store to submit their Point of Sale

(POS) data on an hourly basis, it was

quickly becoming apparent that, with

such a large amount of transactions and

continuously expanding data, an instant

and fast rendering BI tool was necessary.

The Challenge

By creating a comprehensive system of Key

Performance Indicators (KPI), Aswaaq were

able to measure each store by performance

and monitor progress of their loyalty

program. Also, by measuring corporate

service performance using the KPI

framework, more insight into measurable

behaviour could be established.

Aswaaq has a modern and innovative approach to retail by

providing retail outlets, including supermarkets surrounded by

retail shops, with a wide range of amenities.

This provides neighbourhoods with a unique shopping

experience and promotes the notion of community while

improving the traditional ‘shopping-mall’ set-up.

Aswaaq performed an extensive analysis

on suitable software technologies to

ensure a suitable tool was chosen to drive

forward data analysis.

CXAIR was chosen as the solution to

resolve Aswaaq’s BI challenge and during

the week long implementation,

Connexica were able to deliver twelve

separate training sessions aimed at a

mixture of skill sets.

Additionally, a large number of indexes

across HR and store data covering tens of

millions of records were created,

developing a series of KPI reports that

allow the company to immediately

monitor and evidence adherence of

Government directives.

Since the system went live, data sections

have been added to their CXAIR

installation, allowing staff to

immediately view performance and

identify potential issues.

As an additional benefit, CXAIR has aided in

the development of a loyal customer base

for Aswaaq as it has been able to analyse

customer spend and buying patterns,

providing essential insight into the

effectiveness of the customer loyalty

program.
