Ecommerce Sales Shares Worldwide According to an eMarketer study, 2015 is the year that the Asia Pacific region overtakes North America in B2C ecommerce sales worldwide, and its lead only continues to grow over the next three years. Online retailers would be wise not to overlook the global marketplace, as it presents a real opportunity for digital sales growth. 3. Respondents cited price sensitivity as the top two reasons why they would fail to make a purchase, accounting for 61% of the pie. Interestingly, when the same online sales categories are compared to store sales, its clear that e-commerce has grown at a dramatically faster rate in almost every product category.
