are creating a small business physically or digitally, you can’t build a business by yourself. You need a team that willhandle multiple functions within your business. A business that has all areas covered is an operational business. Abusiness that has all areas covered efficiently is a successful business. You need people in your business to helpyou build your business and keep it running, but don’t forget that these people need to be right for you becausefinding the wrong person can ruin everything you worked for.

All it takes is one person to destroy a dream.

Make sure you know what kind of person you are looking to work with in building your business. What’s yourbusiness about? What’s the purpose? What kind of people do you want to attract to your business? The first groupof people you want to attract to your business is not your customers; it’s your ideal right team. You find the rightteam; the right customers will come right after.

Throughout this article, I have been mentioning the connection of the right team and your business. The right teamis an integral part of your business and should not be overlooked. Of course, the right team cannot be createdwithout the right business, which leads to another little topic I am about to go over before coming to a close. It can besummed up in a sentence, but elaborating on it will help you understand it better.

You can’t build a team if you have not built a business for that team.

Pretty obvious statement, right? A lot of business people who start off with a business go as far as an idea and thenonce they have an idea they start finding people.

That’s not the way to build a business let alone building a successful team for said business. That’s just going toensure that your business will crumble the moment it gets off the ground. You must have foundation before you start

adding people, people for your team and customers. No one is going to invest his or her time with an idea that hasnot materialized into something. That something does not have to be 100% complete or perfected, but start withsomething! Even if it feels uncomfortable and unnatural for you, just do it. Fear doesn’t make for a good teammate. In fact, fear is that one person that will destroy your dream without second thought. Being unprepared to invitepeople to the business is right next to it.

Do what you have to do on the back end to lay out the foundations of what will be your successful business. This isyour business. When the business gets off the ground and starts generating revenue and changing lives, that’s yourname behind it. Your team is just there to make sure it runs efficiently in other aspects of the business to preventmassive overwhelm.

With the right team, your dream is secured and will do great things for your community and on a bigger scale, theworld.

I challenge you to not tackle everything in your business on your own because that will create massive overwhelmand nothing gets done when you try to get everything done yourself. I challenge you to be open with your team asopen communication is vital to running a successful business because it keeps your team on your level in a sense. Ichallenge you to be humble because like stated earlier; your team is there to make sure everything runs efficiently.Their hard work should not go unnoticed. Make sure you give recognition where recognition is due. By doing that, you show appreciation and motivate your team to be just as successful as the business they work.

take care.
