The National Association of Realtors® recently released the 2014 Profile of International Home Buying Report for the period April 2013 through March 2014. The report found that total international sales reached an estimated at $92.2 billion: a 35% increase from the previous period’s level of $68.2 billion. In the Top 10 U.S. Cities Searched by International Consumers for May 2014, Houston ranked 6th after Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Detroit. 2014 Profile of International Home Buying Activity
The National Association of Realtors® recently released the 2014 Profile of International Home Buying Report for the period April 2013 through March 2014. • Sales were split approximately 50/50 between
resident and non-resident purchasers; • 28% of Realtors® reported having
international clients; • Foreign buyers are upscale with the purchase
price above that paid by domestic buyers; and,
• Five countries (Canada, China, Mexico, India, U.K.) accounted for 54% of foreign sales.
