future of the library andtherefore reference services

youwalk in the library, amongst thereference materials and near
thenon-fiction Bottom Floor: Between theChildrens and Young
Adultcollections Both easy to spot

Younger staff More comfortable environment
5. THE FUTURE OF REFERENCE Often, the school library, a
potentially threating environment, fails toprovide any clues, so
the public library becomes the next stop (Curry,pg. 66, 2005).
Excellence in service to young people now will ensure that they
comeback to libraries as adults, bringing their own children with
them(Bopp, pg. 370, 2011).
