Sound In the advert sound is also a key part of telling the story. It multiple shots the viewer can hear the tv in the background telling what is happening. Also the viewer can hear different types of planes and bombs dropping. This makes the audience realise what is going on and sympathy for the girl.

The girl's voice progresses into the video, at the beginning she is a lively child. This slowly changes. As the scenes get darker so does her tone of voice. It seems as if her whole personality changes as this is taking place.

Editing In the advert various editing techniques are used. The most scene is the background changing and how the girl's life changes. For example at the beginning of the advert the girl was happy and the background was fun and happy. The last scene is her looking very upset and covered in dirt and rubble.

Every single shot lasts about 1-3 seconds, this is to show how fast a life can change when war is apart of their life. And also how quick a life can change.

This image is effective because of the background of the shot. You can see central london is the far distance with clouds of smoke around it and the child covered in dirt ss if a bomb has gone off.
