CONSULTRANS was created in 1985 to satisfy the need for transport consulting services that the Public Administration and private industries of the sector had at the time. During this time, we have created important teams of experts in different fields of knowledge, from engineering to law, and selected the best consultants in the analysis, study and implementation on issues related directly or indirectly with our major clients.

As a result of this specialization and its relevant experience, CONSULTRANS is part of Imathia GROUP since 2008, as a company specialized in the transport and logistics, information systems and management and promotion of R+D+i. Imathia Group companies began operations in 1989. The team of Imathia Consultants has over twenty years of experience in consultancy services and high management of companies.

Imathia Consulting operates in the field of strategic and management consulting, nationally and internationally in the areas of transport, health, public administration and information technology among others. CDI Global operates corporate finance advisory and M & A business and Imathia Construction in the construction field.

International Department

Due to CONSULTRANS consolidation in the Spanish market, coupled with the increasing globalization of world trade, spurred the development for, an international strategy that has positioned the firm as a firm of international standing. Our growing expansion has led us to extend our markets and clients. At national level our client portfolio includes both government and private institutions. Abroad, we have extensive and consolidated markets in Europe and Africa and we are also strengthening our presence in the new Asian and Middle East markets.

Formed by a multidisciplinary team of experts and a large number of collaborators, the International Department is primarily focused on procurement of international institutions such as the European Union, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank among others. Focusing initially on the transport sector (air, road, rail, intermodal, maritime), both studies and R&D&I projects, CONSULTRANS has centered on providing consulting services in Algeria, Belgium, Brasil, Egypt, Malta, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, among others.

SAUDI ARABIA

High Speed Line Makkah-Madinah in Saudi Arabia: Consultrans conceived, led and coordinated the Spanish Consortium project that was awarded the High speed Train between Makkah and Madinah. This € 6,376 million project is the largest Spanish engineering project. Consultrans led the preparation of the technical and economical bid of the Spanish consortium for the design and construction of track and systems, the supply of 35 trains and the operation and maintenance of the line for 12 years. Consultrans studies demand and fares, is in charge of the Environmental Management and Health and Safety as well as contract management and design and construction supervision of workshops.

Project of Hofuf: Supporting Saudi Railway Administration (SRO) in the bidding process for the Duplication of the existing line "Main Line 2" between Dammam and Riyadh. The functions include the analysis of the current situation, existing conditions, study of all solutions for infrastructure and crossing structures, services affected, modeling of railway line in ISTRAM / Ispol, valuation, etc ... Writing the Bidding Project with the above elements, and preparation of technical specifications of the international competition.

The Department of Technology of Consultrans manages the Quality Control of the "Determination of the Ability of Software Process Improvement". ABS Quality Evaluations Inc. has certified this management system, consisting of the ISO 12.207:2008 evaluated by the ISO 15504, maturity level 2 activities for development, maintenance and integration of software products developed by the company. The organization has identified in its life cycle policy projects from the planning stage to execution and closure. As a result of the implementation of the model life cycle, it identifies and proposes improvements that will be analyzed and prioritized (in terms of cost, ease of implementation, resources, etc.) for its implementation following the international standards mentioned above.
