Don't agonize for days on end photoshopping pictures you wish to insert on your video, same as don't sweat your eyes out cutting and fitting videos you'll insert. Yes, having the right content is important but the goal is to ensure that visitors will keep coming back to view your video because it is short yet witty, with a subtle hint of brand promotion.

The actual video content is not priority number 1

Strategy #3:

Don't make it too obvious that you are "selling" a brand. If viewers see that you are trying to promote something, they won't share it.

But let's say your video is so amazing that viewers are compelled to share it. Well that is a rare exception.

Selling is a no, Informing is a yes

Make it short & sweetStrategy #2:If I am to view a 45-minute long video online about how a certain company has evolved through the years and how their products and services are one of the best globally, I assure you that my brain will go offline during the first 3-5 minutes of that video.

Everything is now fast-paced. Nobody has the luxury to sit through a 45-minute epiphany of history, milestones and product descriptions. A minute is good, 15-30 seconds is best.

Shock and AweStrategy #4:Use fake yet shocking headlines. Make the viewer thing, "is this for real?" which will compel them to click on view, later on to realize that they've been faked. But they have to be in such awe that even if you duped them into watching your video using a fake headline, they would still end up sharing it to others.

Strategy #5: Set forth and multiplyIf you think uploading your video on Youtube will make it spread like wildfire in a couple of days, you're wrong. According to the official blogsite of Youtube, there are over 35 hours of video uploaded every minute. That means, your less-than-a-minute video is a needle in a haystack.

How do you set forth and multiply? One word: SEO. Have your video uploaded in blogs, have people talk about it in forums, have it shared on multiple social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Tag appropriately and track efficiently to measure the effectiveness of your viral video.

In a nutshell, make sure that your viral video never goes to sleep.
