TrackSAFE  is  a  registered  harm  prevenIon  charity,  established  by  the  Australian  rail  industry  in  2012.    

Four  key  focuses:  

1.  Reduce  suicide  and  suicide  aNempts  on  our  rail  network;  

2.  Reduce  rail  trespass;    3.  Improve  level  crossing  safety  through  educaIon  and  

awareness;  and  

4.  Provide  world’s  best  pracIce  support  for  rail  industry  employees  exposed  to  trauma

Rail  suicide    

•  150  fataliIes  annually  •  InnovaIon  workshop  August  2013  •  12  rail  organisaIons,  the  unions  

o  Input  by  Lifeline,  the  Australian  InsItute  for  Suicide  Research  and  PrevenIon  (AISRAP),  and  the  Police    

o Outcome:  five  potenIal  suicide  prevenIon  measures  o We  are  now  invesIgaIng  how  to  bring  these  forward
