I hope that this information is helpful to you in learning what SEO is, why it’s important, and some steps to take if you want to incorporate it into your business. Whatever you choose to do, it is important to work out beforehand the costs and benefits of your actions, or inactions. Does SEO really make that much of adifference?Absolutely. According to the NAR, 90% of buyers start the home buying process online.With that many potential leads heading to search engines you want them to see youfirst. Here is why:

As you can see, if you rank first in Google’s search results, you can expect to see nearly TEN times the number of visitors as the site ranked fifth!

As smart as search engines are, they can notsee a website like we see it. They read everyword on the page and see all the pixels of every photo but they aren’t good at judgingwhether your site or Ronny Realtor’s is better. However, if they see that many otherpeople put links to your site on their web people put links to your site on their web page, or comment on it, or stay for a longtime after finding it through google, then the search engine can guess that you have a great site. This is the basis of SEO.

What the heck is SEO?

SEO, or Search Engine Optomization, is simply designing your website and its contents so that search engines like Google can see what you have on your site and rank it higher than your competitors in the serach results.
