COLLEGE STORE
SITUATION :-
NUMBER OF HOME COMING STUDENTS = NUMBER OF GRADUATES, every year.
GOALS :-
•To provide a platform to studentswhere they can buy and sell products
•To decrease the cost of expense by selling goods second hand.
FLEA MARKET
•To decrease the cost of transportation.
•To make the seller and buyer relation more transparent!
SITUATION ANALYSIS :-
COMPANY OVERVIEW :-
•The core competencies of the app would be that -The buyer wouldn’t have to go through hundreds of products to decide on the final one , the seller would have already chosen the best ( for himself when he purchased ) and hence saving a lot of time for the buyer !
The strategy of making the target segment VERY SPECIFIC by the app would make it very easy to SATISFY THE WHOLE OF TARGET MARKET and MARKETING TECHNIQUES work EFFICIENTLY !
PRODUCT LINE :It will include all the NEEDS AND WANTS of the students who are going to join a COLLEGE/UNIVERESITY ! Ex: books ,speakers ,fans ,mirrors etc.,
The products are going to be VALUE POSITIONED as the products that are going to be sold will be PARTICULAR SELECTED AND PREFFERED by the people who have already finished the SAME COURSE !
MARKET OVERVIEW :
The CURRENT/POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS would be all the STUDENTS WHO ARE GRADUATING FROM THE COLLEGE ( TO SELL ) or else THE ONES WHO ARE JOINING ( TO BUY )!!!! The scope of the app is very vast as it could be used by all the students in the college or university !
COMPETITORS would be the SUPER MARKET or STATIONERY SHOPS which are on CAMPUS or around the campus , who has MORE VARIETY and FIRST HAND GOODS for the students who are WILLING TO PURCHASE one
The PEAK TIME for the app would be during FALL and SUMMER i.e., beginning of the new semester or graduation year As the students will purchase new books and goods beginning of the year !!!
We can also COLLABORATE with the LOCAL STATIONERIES or MARKETS !!!
The TARGET CUSTOMERES would be
•All the FRESHERS of the COLLEGE•STUDENTS of other years too ( second years can purchase third year books and sell first year books of their’s )•Hence , ALL THE STUDENTS of the COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY could use this app efficiently !

To PENETRATE into its TARGET SEGMENT MAXIMUM POSSIBLE To be able to TRADE BETWEEN STUDENTS OF DIFFERENT COLLEGES.To have to finish the stock within the same SEMESTER / YEAR.

They need books , stationery , fans , mirrors and other groceries depending upon their requirements either FIRST OR SECOND HAND , OUR TARGET MARKET SHOULD
be the one’s ready to go for SECOND HAND ONES !!

We could collaborate with the -RETAIL SHOPS ON CAMPUS TO POST THEIR PRODUCTS , -CAMPUS SPECIFIC MARKETING CLUBS (could be communication / advertising channel )-COLLEGE AUTHORITIES (college notice boards etc.,) -COLLEGE EVENT TEAMS
COMPANY :
Its strategy is to DECREASE THE WASTAGE OF MATERIAL AND REUSE IT !! and DECREASE THE EXPENSE FOR STUDENTS at the same time !
COMPETITORS:
The company’s ONLY COMPETITORS would be -RETAIL SHOP VENDORS -SUPER MARKETS Because of their FRESH STOCK !
CUSTOMER VALUE PROPOSITON :
Here both the BUYERS AND SELLERS are CUSTOMERS ,FOR SELLERS : The books or goods which would have gone waste can EARN MONEY BY SELLING THEM FOR BUYRES:The books or goods which they would have purchased for higher price are available at LOWER PRICES !! PROFITS !!!!
COMPANY VALUE PROPOSITION:
The company could make money by -PERCENTAGE from RETAILERS POSTING ON THE APP -TRANSPORTATION CHARGES -PERCENTAGES from both SELLERS and BUYERS

NAME : COLLEGE STORE – it is self explanatory !!LOGO : REUSE LOGO AROUND AN UNIVERSITY LOGO- self explanatory again COSTS : MINIMAL POSSIBLE – as all the goods sold are mostly second hand or with offers !

FOR CUSTOMERS : SELLER’S CHOICE FOR BUYERS THE COMPANY PERSONNEL CHOICE FOR THE SELLERS !
FOR CHANNEL MEMBERS : RETAILERS – FREE PUBLICITY TO THE BRAND ! COLLEGE CLUBS – PARTNERSHIPS / PUBLICITY
INCENTIVES :
CUSTOMERES : Retailers – specials offers on their first hand goods for BUYERS Sellers – earning money by REUSING and can look at all his buyer options and choose the BESTBuyers – LOWER COST PRICE and A RANGE OF BUYERS LIST !
COLLABORATORS :
-FREE PUBLICITY TO THE COLLEGES OR UNIVERSITIES , COLLEGE CLUBS the app is tied up to.-Can collaborate with money transfer sites like Pay Paisa etc., and can make the transactions easy and also work as advertisement for each other !
COMMUNICATION : -Can be communicated very well using COLLEGE NOTICE BOARDS , SOCIAL MEDIA , WORD OF MOUTH as it is a college centered app all these would be very EFFICIENT and also LOW COST at the same time WORD OF MOUTH IS THE BEST WAY TO PUBLICIZE THE APP FOR THE TARGET SEGMENT UNDER CONSIDERATION !

THE BUSINESS UNIT WILL HAVE SALES EXECUTIVES , TECH EMPLOY PANNEL ETC., ALL OF THEM AT THEIR RESPECTIVE POWERS TO ORGANISE THE COMPANY AND MIGHT CHANGE ACOORDING TO SITUATION !
SCHEDULE :
-Start within my college first -extend it to the colleges around my college , if its successful in my college ! -extend it to the colleges around the city , state and so on if it is successful in every preceding level -that way , if the company faces a loss too .. It will not be very destructive and we know till which level our company is profitable and fix to those zones !!
